Established in 1992 by Mike Connor with the help of family and friends, The Chop House® has become one of the premier casual restaurant concepts in the Southeast, with 12 locations spread across 4 states.

Always enjoyable. Only downside was the green beans. They had not been de-stringed and they were cooked in some sort of oily mess. Not palatable at all. Otherwise, all was good and tasty.

We had 6:30 reservations but didn't get seated until 6:55. Why bother making reservations? The drinks and steak took a long time. The food was good but not worth the wait or the cost. It was excessively loud. I will not be back. It much rather go to Carvers or Flemings. And I put in the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday but there was no mention of it at all.

It was OK all the way around. Nothing special. The food seem to be the same old same old as other places.

Very understanding and cooperative Manager. My wife and I ate at South Dayton Chop House at 6 pm on Sunday night, 12/8/24. The place was nice and busy, and had a good buzz. We ordered cocktails then a small Sirloin and a 12 oz Prime Rib. Wishing to avoid a cut that was mushy, I opted for medium. The included salad was a huge hit. Cold, ample, delisious. Wonderful, actually. Dinners arrived in good timing, my Prime Rib was impressive, and the Sirloin adequate. Both with huge baked potatoes. Mine buttered and with sour cream at no upcharge. Not healthy, but worth the risk! The rib color was just under medium well. So I poured on the saucy au jus and cut in. It was like saw-dust inside. Bone dry. I flagged a server, who professionally said he'd find the Manager. The Manager looked, offered a different cut, and soon appeared with a large, medium pink, obviously moist and juicy, ample cut he said was beautiful. I agreed, and cheerfully ate the whole thing. And the potato, too. Both wonderful. Here's a restaurant and a Manager who want to please the guest, and are willing to throw away a big cut of Rib to prove it. Cheers! We had a great dinner and at good value.

Waitress forgot appetizers but did comp them. Also forgot my side. Took forever to get drinks. Lunch sirloins were tough and gristly. My medium-rare almost walked off the plate. For the money, just not the best value.

Met an out of town coworker for dinner. He absolutely loved it and I always have a good dinner there. Our server was great and the food was spot on.
