Welcome to The Black Penny Southbank! We offer our customers freshly prepared brunch, salads,
speciality coffee, classic and unique cocktails. Gourmet brunch is at the heart of what The Black Penny is famous for. Signature dishes include 'The Hunter' & 'The Gatherer', which is our take on the full English breakfast. Other signature dishes include 'Wild Mushroom Polenta Hash', 'Salt Beef' and 'Crispy Duck' hashes (try pairing with some of our fine wines and Penny cocktails). If you fancy something sweet try 'The Brioche French Toast'. With it's antique style of interiors, vibrant music and attentive staff in South Banks new development next to the London Eye, We're sure you'll find a penny on your list of exciting places to visit.

Nice brunch, good ingredients, well-cooked spinach - would have liked a second piece of toast under my beans, eggs, spinach, haloumi and so on but otherwise excellent

This place is absolutely amazing, when we come to London we always prebook this for breakfast, booking is essential if you don't want to be disappointed or have to wait as they do get busy, very popular place because the food is great, service is second to none so friendly and attentive, presentation of the food, quality of the food and taste are all an experience of their own, The noise level can be a bit much when you first arrive but after a while it's as tho you adjust to it, I believe it's the building itself that creates the way noise is projected around the room as it has high ceilings at the southbank venue plus alot of metal. But it doesn't matter once have dined there once and experience the party of flavours in you mouth, the cakes and drinks are fantastic, I always have a hot chocolate which is so smooth.

Lovely brunch experience with my family; a great choice of food including gluten free options for my husband. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great for us to catch up with my daughter and her fiancé. The service could have been a bit faster but we had loads to catch up on and the staff were friendly so that wasn’t a major issue. Great location round the corner from South Bank, The London Eye, London Dungeon etc so a good spot to visit all those things afterwards. I’d definitely recommend it and would happily eat there again.

Absolutely gorgeous. Portion size good & food fabulous. I had the green eggs (scrambled eggs & smoked salmon on sourdough & other half had the bacon & egg bap with tea…very tasty!

The food is always excellent, I love the porridge, soaked overnight! And Khan, he is just the best at welcome, serving, helping customers feel at home - he is superb!
