Enjoy speciality coffees, freshly prepared breakfast, brunch, small plates and sharing boards. Pair with a glass of wine or a cocktail from our extensive menu in the heart of Sloane Square at our Duke of York Square branch. With a large terrace you can also enjoy al fresco dining. Signature dishes include 'The Hunter' & 'The Gatherer', which is our take on the full English breakfast. Other signature dishes include 'Wild Mushroom Polenta Hash', 'Salt Beef' and 'Crispy Duck' hashes. If its all-day dining you are after, why not try our Roasted Marinated Beetroot or our Salmon Nicoise Salad.

A Disappointing Lunch Experience – Would Not Recommend I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of disappointing. Upon arriving for my pre-booked table, I stood around for a good five minutes without so much as a greeting—despite staff being just inches away from me. No acknowledgment, no eye contact, nothing. When I was finally spoken to, it was with an attitude that made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. I explained I had a reservation, only to be met with a dismissive “Do you? What’s your name?”—hardly the professional or welcoming response I expected. The lack of basic customer service from the team was shocking. The only redeeming part of the visit was the barman, who was at least polite and helpful, kindly swapping our drinks when they weren’t what we expected. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. It was bland and uninspiring, the lamb bun with potato wedges that tasted cheap and straight out of a frozen bag—definitely not the quality I was hoping for. There were no satisfaction checks throughout the meal, and at no point did anyone try to upsell desserts, coffees, or anything else—a clear sign that service isn’t a priority here. When asking for the bill the card machine was brought over without even presenting the bill so we could see what was on it. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor service, and mediocre food made this a truly disappointing experience. I won’t be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Had a lovely all day brunch at the black penny Sloan square. Food was lovely, I had a lovely coconut latte was delicious and creamy. Service from the staff was absolutely fantastic. I think this place is so cute and lovely now the weather is getting better as there are places to sit outside. However we chose to sit indoors . I went on a week day at 12.30 So was a busy time yet it still didn't seem like it was crowded.

Food was super tasty and great selection of flavours and options. Would definitely go again because of the food, but the service could have been better.

Disappointing Experience – Overpriced and Poor Quality I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. The food was extremely overpriced for what you get. Calling it "average" would be generous—the quality was poor, and it was clear just by looking at the ingredients that they weren’t fresh or well-prepared. Service was minimal—just taking the order, bringing the food, and processing payment. No warmth, no attentiveness, just the basics. To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the restaurant was concerning, especially the toilets, which were in an unacceptable state. Overall, this place is not worth the money. There are plenty of other restaurants that offer better food, service, and cleanliness for the same (or even lower) price. Would not recommend.

Service was slow and semi-incompetent. I asked for toast but got bread, I sent it back and it returned as toast but with no butter, I asked for butter, 10 mins later I asked again for butter, it came, but without a butter knife! The meal (salt beef hash) was reasonable but lukewarm / cold and for £18 I expect better. The black coffee (Americano) was disgusting. The room itself was cold. We ate with our overcoats on! Rubbish really.
