The Beetle and Wedge Boathouse is tucked away, and perfectly positioned on the most stunning part of the River Thames. The setting is like no other riverside venue which means you can switch off, unwind, and enjoy your precious time with us. The Beetle has played a huge part in many lives over the years and is steeped in literature history, from the Wind in the Willows, to Three Men in a Boat and not forgetting HG Well’s Mr Polly it has truly fascinated all that have discovered its true beauty. Our owner, Ben, has ensured that its character and charm has remained while adding his own magical touch.

Tickets are just £35, which includes a delightful meal to enjoy while you laugh the night away. Arrive by 6:45 pm to settle in, as the show will kick off at 7:30 pm. A most enjoyable lunch with friends in the Beetle & Wedge. A warm welcome as ever to this lovely spot on the River Thames. Excellent food and presentation with good attentive service throughout. A nice selection of wines for most palates and good value. Thanks to the chefs and all the staff. We will return!

We’re regulars at the Beetle and Wedge and it’s all normally really good. For some reason our last visit was not up to the usual standard - service was slow and no bread for the table as there usually is. Won’t put us off going again but not the best evening we’ve had there.
