The Bar at Alo is located adjacent to Alo's main dining room within a stunning heritage building at the corner of Queen Street and Spadina Avenue - steps away from Toronto's Queen West neighbourhood. Featuring a seasonal six course tasting menu alongside à la carte options inspired by Alo's award winning dining room menu, and expertly crafted cocktails reminiscent of great classic hotel bars. Wine pairings are available curated by Wine Director Christopher Sealy, Michelin's Best Sommelier in Toronto in 2022.
Comfortable banquet or bar stool seating is available. Petrossian Caviar service is served at our bar stools.

Overall a top notch food experience. Be selective about the upgrades on the set menu, some are more worth it than others. The space was small, loud and not very well lit. The noise level made it difficult to hear our server. The start of the set menu was a bit rushed ie. First course came at the same time as our cocktails, but after that paced out well. Overall good experience, it's just the atmosphere that was lacking.

We finally tried Alo after hearing much great things. We sat at “The Bar at Alo” for a St-Valentines fixed menu. The Service was outstanding from all staff and the food / cocktails were indeed deserving of their Michelin Star. Ambiance and decor in the bar area was a bit dark for our taste. I found the prices to be a bit steep, but not outside the norm at this level. The wine pairing was interesting and will get two of their featured bottles. However, I wonder why they chose to feature a US bottle in their pairing at this particular time. Overall great experience, will likely try their main dining area in the near future.

It's definitely the best food experience I've ever had. We went for our friends birthday and it did not disappoint! The flavors were so deep, and coupled with the wine pairing, it really elevated the experience. Our server was excellent, and the music being played was awesome! It was such a great time! After many visits to the dining room at Alo, we finally made it round to The Bar at Alo, and are so happy we did! Truthfully, having seen their caviar service walk past us while dining in the dining room, it was that caviar service that brought us in.
The Bar at Alo does caviar service a bit differently and it is definitely an experience worth checking out. We followed the caviar up with a shared tasting menu, and at six courses, it is a much more approachable menu. An abbreviated version of the dining room menu (or each of the six courses available a la carte if six courses is too much to handle). The option to pair wines with each course is also available and highly recommended as the wine program is always fantastic at Alo.
What sets dining at Alo apart, is their service. First class from beginning to end and all along the way. Everyone is so welcoming, helpful, and loaded with information to make your dining experience memorable. Many thanks to Aiyana,

Absolutely delightful! The tasting menu was exquisite and the wine pairings were so unexpected and amazing! The service was above and beyond! The server gave us great detail regarding the dishes and the background on the wines. I’ve eaten at a lot of Michelin starred restaurants but this one is probably the best experience!
