A TRADITIONAL NORTHUMBRIAN COACHING INN, RESTAURANT AND GUESTHOUSE.

We offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation nestled on the banks of the River Coquet in the tranquil hamlet of Weldon Bridge, near Morpeth, Northumberland.

The Anglers Arms has gained an enviable reputation for providing fantastic food for every occasion whether its a quick sandwich at the bar, a relaxing pub lunch with some friends or a romantic meal for a special occasion.

The Anglers Arms can provide a truly unique venue for a wedding reception or private party with meals and catering to suit all tastes and budgets. Take a look at our wedding section for more information.

We also have our own, private stretch of the River Coquet available to guests on a day ticket basis who are keen to test their angling skills on one of England’s most renowned game fishing rivers.

Booked online and staff gave us a table in the midst of a very noisy all male party. It was too noisy & we asked to be moved. We were informed by the staff that’s the table you booked so could not move us !!!! We left the table and demanded to be moved to another spare table away from the noise. Reluctantly it was agreed. Food was fine but the service by teenage weekend staff was not up to expectations. It’s a pub quite close to home but we will not be returning anytime soon

Absolutely outstanding food. The valentines day special scallop starter was amazing and the steak was cooked to perfection. We will certainly be back!

A lovely place to dine and decent service - just a couple of things that we asked for weren’t on the menu but weren’t told till we ordered and only ONE beer available. Asked for cream with my crumble but brought custard so nothing major just a little more attention needed.

Lovely staff, roaring fire, great service. Had the Sunday Roast sharing platter for two - mostly good BUT the beef was very dry/chicken a bit dry & roasties pale & soft. All else was good & it could have been a one-off

Lovely meal at an old favourite. Canage in management has not impacted on the experience, other than positively. Quality of my sirloin steak was outstanding. My wife stuck to her favourite scampi. Lovely tempura prawn starter shared.

The food was absolutely exceptional, brilliant choice, full of flavour and great quality. The staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Thanks all :)

Outstanding food and service. We booked for Christmas Eve and were treated to an absolutely delicious feast. Service was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. Would thoroughly recommend.
