    The fourth and final instalment of the Cubitt House Eats With series brings MasterChef 2018 finalist and Head Chef at Maison François, Matthew Ryle, to The Alfred Tennyson. Known for his refined yet approachable cuisine and mastery of classic French recipes, Matthew will curate a three course feast served around shared dining tables in the main restaurant. Guests will enjoy a welcome drink courtesy of Hayman's Gin and take home a signed copy of Matthew’s cookbook. Tickets are £75, with an optional wine flight available on the day. A discretionary 15% service charge is applied to the final bill.

    Aufgrund verschiedener Empfehlungen hatten wir hohe Erwartungen, die leider nur zum Teil erfüllt wurden. Essen: Sehr gute Fish & Chips + leckeres Brot vorab Ambiente: Der Dining Bereich (Upstairs) war leider nur bedingt gemütlich. Es war sehr kalt und hatte nichts mehr mit einem Pub im klassischen Sinne zu tun.

    Made reservations, showed up - our waiter was great. And then they informed us they were out of probably 85% of their menu. You could have steak or steak tartare. 😳 very disappointing.

    Food was great but when I booked I was given a choice of bar or restaurant but when we arrived we were put in the bar which was busy and noisy and cramped. I was told they sit people where they can depending on how busy they are. That's fine if you're aware.

    Service was great, but the food wasn’t prepared. Two ordered the beef cheeky that wasn’t flake, fall apart, it was very tough. Chip cold, and with a new batch; they were undercooked.
