This month-long celebration of one of the world’s great dessert cocktails and the barkeeps behind them showcases the creativity of San Antonio's local bar and culinary scene during the holiday season. I went to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Orlando was fantastic! This rooftop had great service, a beautiful view, and delicious apps.

Great date night spot. Food and drinks were amazing. Music was the perfect level. The night was chilly but they had heaters and blankets available. Overall wonderful experience.

Beautiful venue. SLOW bar service. VERY loud. Choice of music did not match the clientele or atmosphere. Ceviche does not come with chips or anything to scoop it up into.

Needs better music. The atmosphere is great but that poor choice of music takes away from the experience.

Out of six in our party, we had one person who doesn’t drink. When our friend asked for a mock-tail, our waiter who identified himself as the bar tender, said he couldn’t make one. He claimed he had no syrups. His words: “I am actually the bar tender here, and we don’t have the ingredients to make mock-tails. We don’t have any syrups or anything like that.” Our friend was totally open to anything created by the bar tender, totally flexible. He made her feel a little ostracized. As a bar tender / waiter you should think about providing the best costumer service. A simple “Sure, I can make something delicious for you without alcohol“ would have worked. I guarantee there was something in his wheelhouse that would have worked. Every bar should be prepared to make a mock-tail in the rare occasion that it is requested. Anyway, our friend literally instructed the waiter/bar tender to make a ginger beer with blood orange juice for her. All she had to do was look at the menu and pick a few ingredients that could go together without alcohol. She is actually a restaurant worker and a bar tender herself. This is supposed a the kind of place that you look forward to coming to and enjoy a beverage with friends. Step it up..

My visit to Tenfold was ok. We arrived about 20 minutes early and we were not allowed to go up to the venue. Usually, at other places, one can go sit at the bar until your reserved table is ready. My party had to wait downstairs. To add insult to injury, we were not being updated on our reservation. Me or my party had to keep walking to the host in front of the elevator to ask for a status. We had a reservation for 10:15 pm and we were not allowed to go to the restaurant until our table was ready for us. Well, that didn’t happen until after 10:30pm. My party of 6 was not very happy about the whole situation. I would also suggest serving more traditional items like mini pizzas, nachos, pastas. People love that comfort food. It is a beautiful place and the ambiance was great. Needless to say, I don’t think I will be recommending this venue.

We were staying at the Kimpton Santo which is a brand new hotel and very nice and modern. The rooftop bar has nice views. They were out of 2 signature cocktails that we wanted to try which was surprising since it was a Saturday night early. We were seated by the bar which was okay but would have rather been by the edge closer to the nice views and there seemed to be enough tables. The service was okay but the waiter seemed annoyed with us when I said seems strange to be out of things to make the drinks. A little disappointing. Then another waiter actually finished serving us and the other waiter was behind the bar I saw. The tiger shrimp with the tortilla chips was really good for an appetizer! The drinks they were out of ingredients as per the waiter to make was queen of the night and house of setting sun on menu. My husband got a dirty martini instead and was super tiny! I had to get a regular spicy margarita instead of the queen of the night and it was just okay. Not wonderful. We would probably go back and try it again though. The hostess was nice and got us in earlier called us when table was ready.
