Willkommen im Tempranillo Restaurant, in dem der international gefeierte Koch Javier Gonzalez-Bringas zusammen mit seiner Partnerin und Ehefrau Laura eine Tageskarte mit Getränken, Tapas, Abendessen und Mittagessen servieren. Gonzalez-Bringas, ein Einheimischer Madrids, verbindet einen Alte-Welt-Stil mit einem Neue-Welt-Flair in seiner Küche nach Art des Hauses. Der Name Tempranillo selbst ist eine Hommage an eine von Spaniens führenden Rebsorten und getreu seines Namens bietet das Restaurant eine Auswahl von über 100 handverlesenen Weinen und Sangria mit einer herzhaften Mischung aus eingelegten Früchten. Die Atmosphäre im Tempranillo zeichnet sich aus durch satte Farben, Doppelkamine und einen gemeinschaftlichen Versammlungstisch - alles was die ebenso reiche Tiefe von Aromen und Einflüssen reflektiert, die das Herz der Ursprünge des Restaurants sind. Tempranillo offers on and off site catering for parties of 10 to 250. We customize all catering menus and formats for each client. On site catering includes lunch parties for 10, dinner parties for 20 at our community table, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the patio or in the garden and formal dinners for up to 100 in the dining room. <br />Tempranillo currently caters all of the food for the Spain tent at the Aspen Food and Wine Festival which requires providing food for up to 5,000 people per day.

This former local favorite was disappointing last night. Service was excellent, food was fair, smaller portions that are more expensive. Won't be back unless we hear its gotten better. Too bad.

Tables were crammed together making the dining experiencing awkward and challenging. I realize New Years Eve is a very busy night to dine out…but too much was sacrificed at our expense. Service, Ability to converse, getting in and out of our chair was nearly impossible without intruding on the next table of diners, etc. we would never dine again here for a holiday meal. None of our requests on Open Table were met, which was unfortunate because it happened to also be an important anniversary celebration.

Great service and food. Mahi mahi and the seafood paella were delicious. I enjoyed the martinis and our 2 sons enjoyed the pistacho ice cream. :-)
