    Lovely ambience With a lively friday night crowd. Food was DA BOMB: mojito oysters with a slightly sweet foam, papas bravas, pulpo with a slightly torched crunch, tomato carpaccio with tuna escabeche - could use more tuna, paella negra so creamy and slightly carmelized at the bottom of the pan, all the gambas super JUMBO and full of flavor. Everything had a slight sweetness so could use more acid or heat to balance. I think I ordered the flan but didn’t get one and only got the espresso I ordered. Palomas were lovely with a touch of smoke from the mezcal. Will be back again when craving a Spanish flair for dinner.

    The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are consistently excellent, which keeps me coming back. However, I am disappointed they automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill, even for a small party of just two people. As someone who spent five years working in food service, including time as a restaurant manager, I strongly believe that tips should be earned through quality service, not automatically guaranteed. While the service here is indeed good, this policy feels like yet another example of how tipping culture has gotten out of control. I appreciate good service and am happy to tip generously when it's deserved, but I prefer having the agency to decide this for myself based on my dining experience. This mandatory policy, especially for such a small party, unfortunately detracts from an otherwise enjoyable restaurant.

    As always, great food and great service. Everyone, including the kids, enjoyed the food. The kids love the empanadas. We also tried the croquetas, oysters and pulpo, all of which were very tasty. For the main course, we had the Lobster paella and the paella negra, both soccarat. Highly recommend all.

    This would be my last time to this location as I am over the blanket service charge of 20% for an "okay" service. My parties asked for sparkling water four times before it was addressed. The poor service recovery was blamed on miscommunication which was blamed on us not wanting it. Unless my English "yes please" is misconstrued, I don't see why that would be interpreted as a rejection to the sparkling water. Considering the $12 per bottle, anyone would want to make an easy sale out of it... unless you are the waiter and the runner. It took us exactly 26min from seating to first drink order time AFTER the flow controller (maitre d') checked in on us. Suggestion: having one server for many large parties is not efficient for service time. The tapas came out and the delivery was more handed to us than placed on the table. What happened to courtesy and hospitality: unsure. I am glad that the facilitator was changed halfway because I'm not sure if I would appreciate doing things myself. Please be glad that we did all we could as guests to order drinks, appetizers, entrees (Tomahawk was overcooked when asked for medium rare), and desserts while maintaining the 2h dining limit time, giving the waiters a higher performance metrics. I do not agree that the automated service charge should be added automatically for a parties of 4 adults and 2 kids. I perceive that the charge were more of a guarantee for the servers that can justify a lame experience. Tonight, that 20% service charge tonight is considered as my breakup fee with this location. #20PercentFail

    It was just alright for spending $350. The food was just okay and the noise level is like being at a nightclub. For our family it was a one and done.

    It was too loud to communicate and the sauce for foods are the same for a few items. You would say It is not a Spanish style at all if you know Spain.

    Delicious Spanish tapas. Can’t go wrong with any of the tapas. Be sure to order paella first because it takes 20-30 min for it to be made. We were asked if there were any food allergies and we did say egg for my son. Our server told us that they would put the aioli off to the side for the paella but when we got it, it was on the paella. We didn’t want to wait another 30 min for the paella, so we told our server we would just scoop out the portion that didn’t touch the aioli. A bit disappointed because what’s the point in asking about allergies when you don’t do what you say you were going to do? Luckily my son doesn’t have an anaphylactic egg allergy.. but they need to take it seriously because someone could die from their food allergy.

    Requested a quiet table; confirmed with an email and was placed 8” from the tables on both sides. Had to be reseated. Even with that it was SO noisy. I understand this is the new thing but be good to have some quiet areas away from music and so close to other tables or large parties. Food was so-so. Not great, not very flavorful and over priced for the small portions. I have had good experiences with the one in Walnut Creek pre-COVID but this one is lacking.

    Food was salty, wait time was long for entrees, alcohol was above average, didn’t really feel like the price matched with the quality of the food when comparing against other mediterranean high quality restaurants. The only thing stood out to me was the servers service, but it does come with the automatic 20% gratuity charge in the bill. This restaurant is good for alcohol consumption, not so much with empty stomach.
