Superica
– “where sunshine spends the winter” – also known as Tex-Mex cuisine served in an Old-West-inspired atmosphere alongside music inspired by Austin.

The cuisine is a combination of 1950s Tex-Mex and the wood grill that has taken the food to another level by way of fajitas and more. An “evolved Tex-Mex menu,” includes the classics: tacos, nachos, tamales and enchiladas plus more intricate dishes such as wood-grilled fajitas and shrimp tacos always served with just-made flour tortillas, all while paying homage to the traditions and recipes that have been a part of the Texas culture for decades.

2nd trip where the service was painfully slow on both drinks and food. The server forgot to take our order then disappeared for way too long. Then expeditors forgot to bring specific items we requested like jalapeños and onions. Finally music was way too loud for any conversations. We’ve been three times and don’t need to return.

I have been to this place a few times and each time we have had the same experience. The food is delicious. The service is pretty poor. It took forever to get our waters and by the time our bar drinks arrived most of the ice had melted indicating it had been sitting for awhile before it was delivered and the drink was watered down. We had to ask about the appetizers and once they were delivered it was obvious they had been sitting in the window for awhile. The queso had congealed. We had to ask several times for small plates with our appetizers. Our server was pleasant but either he was in the weeds or inattentive. The food was really tasty though. Also the restaurant was uncomfortably hot.
