   A Hidden Gem—And Yes, My Husband Was Impressed Let me start with this: my husband is not an easy man to impress when it comes to food. He has the culinary standards of a Michelin inspector. So when he took a bite of his lobster roll and said—unprompted—“this is really good,” I knew we were onto something. Located in East Fort Lauderdale, just far enough from the tourist buzz to feel like a secret worth keeping (but not too secret, please—these folks deserve a full house), Sunness is four months into what I hope becomes a very long run. This is not one of those “still figuring it out” kind of restaurants. They know what they're doing. The food? Genuinely excellent. My husband had the lobster roll and the mussels. I had the braised beef—clearly made by someone who knows their way around comfort food. You know how sometimes you get a server who’s overly scripted or clearly reciting lines? Brandon was the opposite of that. The kind of person who makes you feel like a guest, not a table number. The vibe is polished, the free valet parking a nice touch (especially in this part of town), and they’re planning to open a speakeasy upstairs soon, which means: date nights, girls’ nights, “just-because” nights—covered. Bottom line: If you’re looking for great food, head to Sunness before the rest of Fort Lauderdale catches on.

   Our meals came before we had finished our apetizers. The Ceasar salad was bland and not anchovies. The Waiter was delichtful and very attentive. The empty cocktail glasses wernt removed for a long time. Were charged for bread, most rest of that level include it. A beautiful restaurant with an amazing potencial

   this was my first Time at Sunness and I was so impressed with the place, And Jim berry and his band was awesome . I look forward to going back in the future.

   We loved the Cesar Salad made tableside, the both dinners were delicious and the desserts were so much fun with tableside lighting on the s'mores dessert. This special evening featured a live jazz band that we thoroughly enjoyed.

   Excellent introduction to the SOFLO fine dining scene. The food was exceptional and the service was outstanding. Duness is a winner.

   Food was great and great ambiance very cool! Service also very good. Mussels were wonderful and the flat bread very tasty.

   Sensational from start to finish. Had a perfectly mixed dirty martini at the bar until my date arrived. Discounted drinks for ladies on Friday so it was $12. The restaurant is beautiful and well appointed. Service is 20/10. Food is the same caliber. I truly look forward to returning.

   My first time going to this lovely restaurant and it was amazing! Jenny was a great waitress and so helpful. She definitely made this experience a wonderful one! The food was absolutely amzingggggggggg! 10/10 - definitely recommend!

    We dined on a Sunday evening at 7:00 PM which was not very busy and just to our liking. We ordered a bottle of Roederer Estate Champagne which was very reasonably priced and started with the 5 dips appetizer that came with grilled Pita Bread, raw vegetables, potato chips and 5 different dips, it was terrific. My husband had the the double cheese burger and I ordered the Crab Cake which was very good. Service was very attentive and we will defiantly be back!
