   Hatte mich auf ein Fischspezialtätenrestaurant gefreut. Habe aber leider ein Kantine angetroffen. Schade.

   This is a beautiful restaurant with a glorious view over the sea. The food used to be good but this time it was disappointing. My smoked haddock, my husband's sea trout and the Yorkshire pudding that came with my roast beef were all overcooked and really dry. The black pudding with my husband's scallops was very salty. I did appreciate receiving a free glass of Prosecco because it was my birthday, but my husband wasn't asked what he wanted to drink.

   Lovely meal really enjoyed it only negative I will say was restaurant was a bit chilly

   We both had duck as our main and it was lovely. I am dairy intolerant and they worked around that for me. Service was alright but the setting was beautiful. We then ordered pudding and I went for my only option of vegan (dairy free) sticky toffee pudding. We waited about 25 mins then the waitress came up and said they were out of the vegan pudding but I could have sorbet or df ice cream. I said why had they not come straight away instead of making us wait, she said she was sorry. We cancelled the other pudding. I wish I had been told much earlier not to waste our time so it did put a dark cloud on what otherwise was a lovely dinner.

   Have been several times before and the food was excellent. Yesterday the starter was simply marinated smoked salmon with a few pieces of salad. Very ordinary. The main was cressingham duck. Overcooked. The two sauces were both the same. The fondant potato was dull. Overall there was a feeling every thing was slightly burnt. Had the feel of a reheated meal. Left half of it. Complained and should have asked for a refund. Apart form my waitress whom I knew all the staff seemed very unhappy. Will not go back unless I hear it has improved greatly. Which is a great pity as the Sundancer had been a great asset to Nairn.
