Coming Sugar Factory American Brasserie, America’s favorite eatery and celebrity hotspot, expands with its newest location in the notable Resorts World New York in Queens, opening to the public August 2021. The 12,000-square-foot location is the 22nd location for the world-famous brand celebrating 10+ years serving the most decadent sweets and treats around the world.

Sugar Factory at Resorts World New York will be located at the porte cochère entrance to the resort. The 218-seat restaurant dining room is a contemporary rendition of an old Paris brasserie bar featuring hot air balloon banquets, café seating, floral lined walls, two large white illuminated canopy trees, and an impressive DJ booth. A private dining area with a stand alone cocktail bar will complete the room, with an additional 14 bar seats for guests to enjoy. Upon entrance, diners will be greeted by a life-size, instagrammable flower wall with neon wall art.

My wife and I had reservations for 11:30am and we arrived promptly. When we walked to the check-in area, the hostess was not there. We then walked inside the mostly empty restaurant and no one approached us to be seated. We asked a waiter and he said that we had to wait for the hostess. We eventually found her inside the store side of the establishment. She said that she was trying to “run a customers card.” When she finished, she asked us if we had reservations. We said we had them for 11:30am which it was now well after. She made no apology for the delay and acted like we had disturbed her. After being seated, we waited for quite a while before our waiter arrived. He apologized and said that no one told him that we were seated in his section. He did offer us free orange juice and coffee and apologized for the mix up. This was our first time visiting this restaurant and will probably be our last.

Presentation of Drinks ( 🍸 or nonalcoholic) and food choices ...fantastic. Ambience, music and wait service an added plus.

At first upon arrival , we were not greeted. We had to ask a worker for assistance. The manager came and sat us. Her demeanor was not pleasant and we're standoffish. This review is based on the good service we received from our waiter Robert, he was nice attentive, made our experience fun. He should be the manager there.

First time at Sugar Factory - we walked in and noticed everyone sitting was not eating and tables had dishes not picked up. However we looked passed that. We were seated and placed our order. It took us 20mins to get coffee and another 1hr to get our food, which came out cold. There were no cups available and coffee refill was given in to-go cups, and at one point, we were told there was no more milk so we were not able to get additional refills. Our waiter stated that the management team underestimated how many people would dine on the last day to redeem the casino voucher and thus, didn't staff properly. Overall, this was not a good experience. While we did get a discount for the inconvenience, we had to ask for it. It should have been automatic.

Ibriham gave excellent and attentive service. Food was good only complaint was that the music was too loud.

First time going to the Sugar Factory and we went for my birthday. It was amazing! The server was great and attentive, the staff were so nice. The place was decorated for Halloween and looked amazing. Very family friendly as we went with a toddler. There were many birthdays that night and the staff was on 100 for every single celebration. 10/10 would recommend.

Ambiance great for taking pics. However as a whole didnt feel the food lived up to the bill. French Onion soup was meh as well as steak sandwich. My other guests enjoyed their food I must say (burgers). Kids enjoyed their shakes and my Gamebred drink was strong and tastey. Service was top notch, however... imho a 20% mandatory tip is outrageous. The reason being that 3% of it doesnt even go to the workers. Than they have the nerve to add additional tipping recomendations on top of that (a trend ive notied in NYC). I dont like being double billed (3%) on an already pricey menu. For a kids bday its ok but if going out with all adults for the money you are better off heading to one of the many great NYC SteakHouses.
