Sugar Factory has joined the collective of suburb brands at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ!

Accessible from the boardwalk and inside of the casino, Sugar Factory’s 1,500-square-foot confectionary will feature the signature floor-to-ceiling candy wall with more than 500 types of candy including a selection of novelty and bulk candy like the world-famous Couture Pops. Completing the confectionary, the café will offer coffees, hot chocolate, frozen hot chocolate, homemade specialty rainbow doughnuts and pastries in addition to homemade gelato and ice cream.
Sugar Factory’s menu features signature items such as savory crepes, salads, monster burgers, insane milkshakes and specialty pizzas. The legendary desserts will top the menu with the famous King Kong Sundae, serving up to 12 people with 24 scoops of ice cream topped with sprinkles, gummy bears, caramel sauce, fudge sauce and giant swirly pops, to name a few.

We had a reservation for Sunday at 9:30 am. We waited 45 minutes for our food to come out, even though it didn't appear to be very busy. The food is more about the presentation (which is amazing) than the quality. The actual menu was different from the menu online which was disappointing, but it may have been because of the "brunch" menu on weekends. The service was great.

The table was right next to the kitchen and bathroom in a spot that didn't seem like a table should be.

The hostess was horrific- she openly disliked me to the point I had to think she made us wait longer than needed. We called ahead to get two reservations together and the man on the phone was incredibly nice. We arrive and the hostess couldn’t be bothered and didn’t care at all- it would be 5 stars without that girl .

Chicken stir fry was good. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was horrible and the chicken patty was very close to one from McDonald's. It was quite surprising considering how their meals are typically a very nice size. Our service was pretty poor, the waiter seemed to focus on a large party he was serving and we waited about 10 minutes for our water to be refilled while we were eating our meals. He also forgot the drink I ordered and his response was poor. He did comp it but never apologized for the delay even though he clearly forgot about it.

We ordered waffles. Waited 40 minutes and then was advised the waffle maker was broken. Waited additional 15 minutes after the waffle maker was fixed only to receive semi warm waffles not even hot enough for the butter to melt. The server was nice, but the food was absolutely terrible.

We have dined at Sugar Factory many times, and were never disappointed. Unfortunately, this time around things weren’t as good as usual. We were there for my son’s birthday, which was marked on our reservation, but was not acknowledged by waiter or hostess. Two of us ordered burgers, and two ordered the rib eye steaks- all were requested to be cooked to medium temp- and one milkshake for the birthday boy. They served everyone else’s drink, and never came back with the shake. We had to ask for it after our food came out. When our food came out, every item was overcooked. Three out of four of us, was overcooked but edible, but my husband’s steak was so overdone, it qas hard and didn’t even have any juices. My husband did let the waiter know, and to their credit- a manager and the chef came out right away. They apologized and offered to make it right, and redo any of the meals needed. We only requested a new steak for my husband, which was sent out right away. They also removed that meal from the bill, which was very nice, and much appreciated. For service and attention to their customers, I will happily give them four stars. We did not stay for dessert afterward, and unfortunately the opportunity to have the “fun part” of a birthday experience at Sugar Factory for my son had been missed on this trip. Only sharing to help improve and to thank the manager for her kindness and attention to her customers. We will be back.

It was ridiculously expensive! I was there with my 3 grandchildren. They shared a $39 soda drink with dry ice that looks fun, but $39? Also, way too much food. Such waste. Total bill for lunch with tip was $155. I had a ham & cheese with water as a drink. Service was SLOW even though restaurant was pretty empty.
