Overlooking the beautiful Islington Green, you’ll be welcomed by a spacious and inviting atmosphere with a large open-plan dining room and kitchen, a lounge and bar to relax for a cocktail or two, as well as seating outside to watch the world go by.

Serving our signature quality sushi and sticks, along with an extensive drinks menu of cocktails, sake and Japanese teas – there’s something to suit every taste.

    Our new year set menu for one - 'Stick To What You Love' is only available in January 12pm - 6pm. Here, it's all about the sticks from the grill, miso soup and rice - hot and comforting. After all, we're a sushi restaurant even for those who don't like fish. Choose the Sticks Menu for a winter warmer (£19.50) Miso Soup STICKS (x5) -Shake Teriyaki -Tsukune Chilli -Ramu Niku -Shishito Yaki -Momo Nanban Rice (With Crunchy chilli, teriyaki, or chilli dip) OR, Dive into the Sea Menu for a lighter lunch (£19.50) Miso Soup Grilled Edamame Seaweed Salad Rice Paper Shake Rice (With Crunchy chilli, teriyaki, or chilli dip) Available every day throughout January from 12pm-6pm.     Food is good if a little formulaic. We had to wait 20 minutes for a drink, being ignored. We asked for a substitution on set menu and whilst confirmed they brought food we didn’t eat. The waiters ignored us and a waiter at next section gestured at us that there was no way he was dealing with this - extremely rude and disrespectful. I complained and they reduced the bill. But really. Wait till they sort the service out.

    The food was great however the service and ambience were not the best. The music was too loud and it made people talk louder so we left with headaches. Service was also not the best. I went there before and service was much better, this time it seems that the staff were very tired, service was slow (we had to ask for water 3 times).

    Service was really poor. Had to ask to order drinks, order food, order more drinks and then we had to ask for the bill twice

    An extensive and interesting menu. One is spoilt for choice. All of it excellent. Charming and helpful service and a welcoming ambience.

    I had forgotten how much I love Sticks 'n' Sushi until last night. Loved it again. Great food and great value set menus. I had a really delicious non-alcoholic cocktail too.

    Was really keen to try this place but was really appalled with the service. The food is great and great selection of dishes but the service is nothing like I’ve experienced. We waited a while to order, received our drinks after some of the food arrived. An hour and 10 minutes into our reservation, and 20 minutes into receiving our food, the waitress told us we had 20 minutes left at the table—this would mean we only had an hour and a half altogether. The booking states parties less than 4 people have 2 hours, I showed the staff and they apologised. However the waiting staff insisted, albeit politely, we should move to another table to finish our food as although it was their error, they needed the table. We declined as we didn’t want to disrupt our meal, and we still had the booking for another 45 minutes as per their policy. For the next 45 minutes we were harassed and interrupted by the waiting staff, FOH staff and management 6 times that they *really* needed the table. After disputing with them, we were offered money off our bill but we won’t be returning.
