   Wenn man sich auf die Art wie in diesem Restaurant gekocht und serviert wird einlässt und es mag und versteht dann muss man es auf jeden Fall besuchen. Mit das beste was ich an der Westküste der USA in einem Restaurant gegessen habe. Richtig schön auch der Blick in die offene Küche.

   Great food. Really enjoyed the hand cut noodles and the pork katsu. The scallops and the duck liver were also table favorites. A bit of a loud and energetic atmosphere. Service was hit and miss.

    The concept was interesting to experience and the food was relatively good for different and unique dim sum style offerings made by the chef’s staff. It encouraged me to purchase the cookbook to learn some of the flavors that highlight the dishes. However, my 3 rating was based on the underwhelming service. Our primary server was great; overall communal service of everyone presenting dishes was fine. But a big part of a restaurant’s presentation (and industry) is hospitality. It’s one thing to serve efficiently but they are so focused on the transactional aspect they don’t authentically make you feel welcomed and glad you were there. No one smiles as they’re moving through the room or to your table. That comes through from beginning (upon check-in) to end (as you are leaving, let alone purchasing the cookbook). Their success has perhaps given them too much room to assume their food and hard to get reservations makes the guest feel honored to be there. It questions my interest to visit their sister restaurants now as those are even higher on the most desired restaurants to visit.
