   Armando was the perfect waiter Enjoyed the grilled shrimp. The tempernillo wine was a perfect accompaniment. My wife loved the paella and the kids enjoyed the octopus dish

   Expensive for what it was. They spilled food on my shorts and didn’t make any sort of effort to remedy the situation. An apology would have been fine (shorts rte ruined). Issues getting into the hotel complex. Security and the restaurants need to have better communication.

   Mediocre experience. The setting was cool, outdoors overlooking the water. We were celebrating our honeymoon and server offered a “present/gift for you” a mock-tail for me and a choice of wine for my wife. Perhaps things were lost in translation, as it seemed as if he was offering the whole bottle for my wife to take on our walk home. Knew it was too good to be true so no real surprise when the bottle of Sauvignon Blanc appeared on our check. We were shocked when we asked for the rest of the bottle we had paid for (didn’t really order), and server said unfortunately it’d been served to other guests. He gave us choice of a small bottle of red or 2/3rd already consumed bottle of Chardonnay. We begrudgingly took the Chardonnay and left. Ruined the vibes!

   This was supposed to be on the beach…although you are closing a warning would have been nice

   Good experience but very hard to get to. It's also located in a resort that had lots of young children. Food was okay, would not return

   Food quality was bad and extremelly cold like almost coming out of the fridge.Drinks witj zero alcohol on it . Service was good but food quality thr worsth in the hotel .

   We had the best dinner at Sotavento! Our server, Angel went above and beyond! Our 6 year old was worn out from swimming in the ocean and pools, bike riding and kids club and Angel made sure he was comfortable and happy, even brought over a reclining chair so he could relax. The food was incredible! Recommend the clams with garlic, catch of the day (grouper) and lobster! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

    So we had dinner reservations our first night at the resort, the tables are right on the sand. There were storms in the area so the staff had us wait to be seated as they were not sure if it would rain. After 10 minutes they gave us the go ahead to sit at our table. The food was excellent, we ordered the grilled clams for out appetizer, trying to remember our main dishes, I will come back to that, now I remember, I had the lobster fettuccini and my wife had the paella. Both delicious. So we are eating and the rain starts, the staff was excellent in getting everyone up to the Vegan Bar and out of the rain. They brought our food and managed to keep it warm. It rained for a while so we stayed on the Vegan bar patio and listened and watched the storm. Overall it was a great evening and I would highly recommend Sotavento.
