My husband and I go to this restaurant that we have always gone to with his parents prior to losing his father. We asked to sit inside based on the reservation and we are seated outside. We waited a significant amount of time between each course, after ordering the appetizer, we are notified of a wine event happening that evening after asking about the wait. Great, cool, no one was there when we showed up and we were never notified of lagging service due to this or about an event. We wait a very long time for our entrees. I ordered the burger and it was dry, my husband’s chicken is great. We ask to speak to the manager, which is very uncommon for us. He offers zero discount on crap service then proceeds to not take the unpaid for check and walks away with my card sitting on it and we waited another 10 minutes before another waitress overheard my extremely angry husband and took the check. We were offered no discount, with the assumption that our next meal would have a discount. The amount of time spent at Somm was 2 hours and a few minutes. Maybe if you have the dining tables open while having an event you should have enough staffing COVER dinner service. Maybe help your servers to not look bad and help them to efficiently do their jobs. Our server was a really nice kid training an equally nice guy. This wasn’t their fault, it is 100% due to under staffing. Why let so many people book a reservation if they get crap service? Two tables came and went prior to us finalizing our meal. I want a damn refund after the thousands of dollars we’ve put into this restaurant. We are furious.

Somm is truly the best spot in Cincy. The food is exceptional. I’ve never had anything like it and that’s why we keep coming back often. It’s a home away from home with the best people.

Morgan N provided excellent service. He was attentive, making sure our drinks were always full and made meal suggestions that were delicious. Great experience! Will definitely be back!

Somm is a Cincinnati hidden gem. Dan and his team always make us feel welcomed and appreciated. The atmosphere is amazing with a jazz trio setting the ambiance on this Friday evening. The house barrel-aged manhattan is a must try and be sure to have a word with Dan, the general manger, as he’s very knowledgeable on wine. The menu is solid with a number of great dishes but the house-made ricotta ravioli stands out for me. This trip we sat at the bar and received great service from Noah; Dan stopped by to let us sample some incoming wines from their spring menu and we were delighted to find a new burgundy to love. One of our favorite stops and a frequent choice of ours for an upscale night out. Besting many of the more popular options in Hyde Park, Somm should be at the top of your list.

Sat outside beautiful weather service was spectacular so sorry I forgot the young lady‘s name. Dan was great as always. Food was marvelous as always such a special place always great food always great drinks. They know what they’re doing there.
