Cooking is my CREDO, looking for being on top, always

I am a professional Chef with more than 40 years of experience in the culinary world, all over many Countries. I am actually based in Manhattan - NY, where I manage my own company. In Italy I have been working in my restaurant for 17 years where I was awarded of my first MICHELIN STAR in 2007. I am really fond of fine dining and high end food.

Modern and warm ambiance. We weren’t seated right away for our reservation which is fine but they have no bar or waiting area. Chef came out with a couple of oysters and apolgized. Very nice and a nice touch. Not a big deal. Oysters were not a traditional American presentation, which I prefer, but they were very fresh and and in an interesting way with a beet liquid topping. Bread was served cold but fresh with excellent EVOO. My dates Bronzino was fresh but lacking any depth of flavor. My pasta dish with shrimp was ok at best. While the pasta was perfectly done, the shrimp was slightly overcooked and overall the dish was very salty. I would try one more time but it didn’t live up to the hype.

Food was excellent again (second time we have been there). It was super loud last night as one party was “feeling it”. Service was not as good as the initial visit. Seemed like these had less waiters, but plenty of support staff. Overall food is the draw.

YOU MUST TRY SOLA OSTERIA! This lovely place serve authentic Italian food! As Italians, me and my husband miss the flavours of our home, so we decided to come and have a meal at Sola’s. We went for lunch and had a great time, the owner, Chef Massimo Sola came out to know us and to make sure we were having a good time (btw we had a blast:). We ate a couple of antipasti and two pasta mains to share, let me tell you, I felt at home and oh boy, I’ve missed that feeling! You really can taste the passion and the love they put into their food. It’s a culinary experience, and I promise you, you won’t be disappointed:)

Exceptional food and hospitality - the most authentic Italian in North Jersey. Incredibly kind, welcoming, and warm team who made our Thanksgiving meal so memorable!! Please go see Chef Massimo and his wonderful team!

Sola is refreshing because the food is authentic and fresh. The service is marvelous, with knowledgeable waiters who are professional and courteous. We so enjoyed our evening and will be back.

Our first time, definitely not our last. From the moment we entered we felt that Sola was a very special place. Every one is happy to see you a makes you feel at home. The ambiance, lighting, decor are designed to make you feel comfortable. The food is amazing, and the service can’t be better. The owner/chef is every were making sure you are happy. MUST make a reservation. Enjoy!!!!

My friend and I had a wonderful lunch at Sola Osteria. The food was hot and fresh and delicious. The waiters were very attentive and the chef came out twice to chat with us. I want to go back for dinner next month.

Great new spot in Ridgewood with an authentic Italian vibe albeit at a bit of a cost. Service was excellent and very Italian, and the dishes I tasted were quite good, I can especially recommend the BBQ ribs, which while not perhaps typically thought of as a signature Italian dish the chef really considers one of their highlights; and I concur.
