Das ursprünglich 1967 gegründete Smuggler's Inn serviert das Alberta Prime Rib bereits seit mehreren Generationen. Das Restaurant ist stets ein beliebter Ort in Calgary zum Teffen und Feiern sowie die bevorzugte Wahl für Geburtstage, Jubiläen, besondere Ereignisse ​​oder einfach nur für Treffen mit Freunden und Familie. Das Prime Rib ist das Hauptmerkmal der vielfältigen Speisekarte und ist täglich und den ganzen Tag über verfügbar und kann nach Ihren Wünschen zubereitet werden. Angefangen mit einem 255 g schwerem Prime Rib Sandwich bis hin zu einem 1360 g schwerem Aufschnitt - die saftigen Rippchen schaffen es sicher, jeden Appetit zu stillen.         We had the Sunday Roast 3 course special and it was amazing. The salad was fresh with delicious dressing and the prime rib with mashed potatoes, gravy, Yorkshire pudding and roasted vegetables was delectable and to finish it off, we had the sticky toffee pudding which was amazing

        Not the smugglers I remember. Waitress was never around. Had to be constantly flagged down. 15 minutes for her to even come to our table. 30 minutes for drinks. 1.5 hours for food which arrived cold and missing items. Food quality was way lower than I remember, and we were sat in what looked like a diner but paid a bill for a steakhouse. Freezing cold where we were. Deeply uncomfortable. Not worth the cost. Has gone way down hill.

        First and last time at Smugglers We arrived at 7:20 pm We had a reservation for 7:30 pm It took about 20 minutes for the waitress to come see us and offer us water or something to drink After we placed our food order it took over 1 hr and a half for the food to arrive. We asked the waitress what happened and she said they had too many large groups and the kitchen is overwhelmed. The bill was fairly pricey for what we ordered .

        The quality of the food we had was excellent. The beef was melt in your mouth tender, the Yorkshire pudding was wonderfully crispy. My husband had the fish and chips and said it was very tasty and satisfying. The celery soup with peanut satay seasoning was delicious, but I must say the selection of starters was disappointing. As people who don’t eat molluscs or crustaceans, the celery soup was the only real option. (You should’ve stuck with the salad bar!)The steak soup of days gone by should return as a regular feature on the starter menu since (a) it’s to die for and (b) beef is what Smuggler’s is famous for. As for ambiance, the main dining room still looks cool, but the lounge bit has mainly booths. I asked for a table with chairs, as not being able to adjust the distance between my seat and the table hurts my back

        Food was pretty good. My wife really liked the salmon. I had the prime rib but it was about the same as you would get in any other moderately expensive restaurant. Service today was not that good. Not because of the server! No, he was working his tail off. It was because he was the only server there trying to take care of all the tables. Only two people bussing tables and it looked like one was new and the other was trying to split between our dining area and the other area. Also, we had our appetizer served at the same time as our meal. The waiter apologized which is something that I have seen other restaurants not do so a point in his favour.

        The food was extremely underwhelming. Dry baked potatoes with no butter, dry cold steak and undercooked vegetables. We sent it back 2 times and the meat was reheated. The server was doing her best but we waited for over 45 minutes the first try and she only came to check on us one time. The guy from the kitchen who brought out our 2nd and 3rd attempt was rude and dropped the plates on the table and walked away. He was argumentative and unkind. The manager did not even make an attempt to communicate with us. After all that we stayed and ate the sub par meal and paid a pretty penny. My husband did love the prime rib.
