Das ursprünglich 1967 gegründete Smuggler's Inn serviert das Alberta Prime Rib bereits seit mehreren Generationen. Das Restaurant ist stets ein beliebter Ort in Calgary zum Teffen und Feiern sowie die bevorzugte Wahl für Geburtstage, Jubiläen, besondere Ereignisse ​​oder einfach nur für Treffen mit Freunden und Familie. Das Prime Rib ist das Hauptmerkmal der vielfältigen Speisekarte und ist täglich und den ganzen Tag über verfügbar und kann nach Ihren Wünschen zubereitet werden. Angefangen mit einem 255 g schwerem Prime Rib Sandwich bis hin zu einem 1360 g schwerem Aufschnitt - die saftigen Rippchen schaffen es sicher, jeden Appetit zu stillen.         The food and service were both outstanding . The relaxed ambience added to our experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

        The prime rib was great but the veg was not great. The mash potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. We both ordered lobster tail. One was mushy and spoiled and had to be sent back. 25.oo the other was so small it could have been a crayfish.. . It was our anniversary and it was very underwhelming.

        Excellent meals, service was excellent, meals served in a timely fashion, - I needed a gluten-free option and the server was well informed and able to make suggestions. Had no symtpoms after eating. Highly recommend

        I hadn’t been to Smugglers in several years and was looking forward to it but was sadly disappointed. Their signature prime rib tasted good but the sides and presentation were very basic and there wasn’t much flavour. Also their wine list was very limited. It used to be a treat to go to Smugglers - the food and the atmosphere were high end but they need to do some work if they want to regain that status as there is a lot of competition.

        We had reservations for 6:30 arrived on time and were seated right away. Ordered a couple cocktails and when she brought the drinks 6:45 we ordered appetizers and main course. Our appetizers Wedge salad and the marrow escargot came at 7:05. I thought the escargot came with sourdough bread. I asked the waitress and she said no it doesn’t. I left it there and didn’t push it. ( Go look at menu and it says sourdough as well) anyways our main course didn’t come for another hour 8:10 she said there was large groups and kitchen was backed up. Not my fault and didn’t offer to bring any bread or anything to help With our displeasure. So over food was great, kitchen service and over all management not taking care of issues. I will stick to the Keg for a quick steak prime rib dinner.

        Prime rib was supposed to be medium rare, it can out blue rare. Pork Ribs were mostly flank material that was tough and dry.

        Waited 25 minutes to get our drinks in a place that was less than half full. Waited a further 40 minutes and our meals were still not out even after 2 tables who came in after us and ordered similar meals had been served. The final atraw came when one of the tables who came in after us was paying to leave and our waiter who clearly didn't care said our meals would be out after the NEXT table was served. We paid for our drinks and left. Went to Wellingtons and got great service and a fantastic meal so all ended well.

        Ordered medium rare prime rib, however the first plate to come out was a medium well rib eye after sending back I got an extremely rare cut of prime rib and at this point didn’t have the patience to return it, due to the fact that my wife had finished her dish and I had finished everything else on my plate.

        I have been to Smugglers on many occasions and the restaurant I would classify it in the top tier of restaurants in Calgary-always very enjoyable !
