Silver Dove Afternoon Tea is a full service tearoom in Downtown Boston specializing in English style afternoon tea service. Steps from Government Center and the Freedom Trail, an experience at Silver Dove includes a pot of tea and a curated selection of finger foods. The food is a set menu and fixed price consisting of a variety of finger sandwiches, savory canapés, cakes, scones, macarons and other pastries which rotate seasonally.

We offer 90 minute reservations for afternoon tea Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations are available up to six weeks in advance. We can accommodate parties of up to six guests on weekends, and parties of up to twelve guests Wednesday through Friday.

We serve a wide selection of teas and herbal infusions from around the world and of various styles. We also provide a selection of craft cocktails and mocktails, as well as sparkling and still wines.

Our kitchen is completely gluten free (and oat free). We are independently owned and operated.

                          Everything was fantastic. Our server made some great tea recommendations. If you go and they have the pistachio stuffed dates wrapped in prosciutto, you have to get them. They were absolutely delicious!! We're so glad we decided to try it. We really enjoyed it and will most definitely be back. We went after seeing A Christmas Carol. Definitely gave the holiday vibes.

                          Silver dove is a stand out for high tea in Boston. I’ve been twice now and what would make it truly excellent would be stronger and hotter tea. The sweets on the menu right now were not the best.

                          Silver Dove is a delightful little place for a traditional high tea with a thoughtfully curated selection of teas and creative touches to the traditional sweet and savory canapés. In addition, Silver Dove offers equally thoughtfully crafted cocktails and mocktails - I don’t drink alcohol anymore and have valiantly been trying mocktails wherever I go, hoping to find some that are not too sweet and more interesting than a couple of juices mixed with club soda. I tried Silver Dove’s Manhattan Transfer, and was stunned. This NA drink had all of the subtleties of flavor and mouthfeel of the very best cocktail. The ingredients were unusual, putting on full display the palate sophistication of the person who created it. We were so pleased with the whole Silver Dove experience. For anyone who might think that high tea would be pretentious or that you’d leave hungry, the easy hospitality of the staff plus the plentiful little open sandwiches and sweet treats guarantees a fun and tasty afternoon.

                          Silver Dove was amazing. My friend is gluten free and s sometimes going to tea, the GF substitute is pretty mediocre. But everything is GF at Silver Dove and really delicious and amazing. The service was lovely and the ambiance was also great. Another table was celebrating and was a bit loud but when they left it was super peaceful. I absolutely recommend when visiting Boston whether you're GF or not!

                          Service was wonderful! We were well taken care of ! The savory food was delish and versatile . The sweets were good but personally not my favorite . Tea was great and the atmosphere was super cute ! Perfect for a cute friends time out 🥰

                          This is a must if you’re in Boston and want a light delicious brunch with fabulous tea and cocktails! The staff was lovely and the atmosphere was cozy. The fact that it’s all gluten free was a huge bonus. Definitely put this on your list for Boston!

                          Great experience, quiet atmosphere. Food was delicious and I loved my tea AND my Parakeet cocktail! It was a nice present to myself and I am thinking a nice gift in the future for a friend.
