   First time at Shandon Court. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, drinks, dessert and coffee. Everything was excellent. Our server was very attentive and sweet. I had the corned beef and cabbage. The meat was tender and juicy. I look forward to returning to try the filet mignon which one of my party had and said it was tender and delicious.

   Wasn’t what I would call busy. Service was slow. Very pleasant. I think problems in the kitchen. Prime rib was tough. Not the place it once was and I should have known better since I could have gotten any time I wanted for a reservation on a Saturday evening in an Irish Pub a week before St Pats day!

   Unfortunately our table was near the front door. The draft coming in, made it very cold and uncomfortable. Not to mention the people waiting for a table breathing down my neck to watch the entertainment. There was live entertainment that was excellent but too loud. A water glass had lipstick residue and needed to be changed out. The server did not come to the table for at least 15 minutes and only after he was told. Drinks took another 10 minutes. It was aa little busy but no excuse for that. Appetizer was a cheddar spinach dip with deep fried potato chips (looked like Ridges potato chips) and was ok. I had fish and chips which was ok, my wife had a broiled seafood platter. The crab cakes were super fishy, there was supposed to be a scampi sauce that was non-existent. My wife's Margherita was way too strong. Still eating, a woman walked up to our table to use the candle to light her cigarette and run outside. When paying the check, the server took 5 minutes to bring the check back. We will not be returning...

   We went to Shandon Court for restaurant week. We both had the braised Short Ribs which was fantastic. I also had the Burrata for an appetizer which was terrific. My girlfriend had the Beef Barley Soup which she did enjoy.

    The Strawberry fields salad is a Family favorite. Add chicken, shrimp or fish and it’s a full meal. Love the big soft “everything” pretzel. Always a nice list of creative drink ideas and a full bar for anything else you think of. A High quality dishes, no matter what you order. highly recommend!
