Das Sage Room at Harvey's wurde zu einem Wahrzeichen in Tahoe seit es 1947 eröffnet wurde. Das elegante Steakhaus im Westernstil, The Sage Room, ist beliebt bei Einheimischen und Gästen gleichermaßen. Zum Dekor des Sage Room gehören original indianische Lampen, die dem Harvey's vom Stamm der Washoe geschenkt wurden, die ursprüngliche Bar und die von Hand bearbeiteten Holzbalken, die ein Teil des ursprünglichen Blockhauses waren, in dem das Harvey's im Jahre 1944 untergebracht wurde. Das Sage Room bietet einzigartige Vorspeisen und Salate als Beilagen zusammen mit Black Angus Steaks, Geflügel, Kalb, Lamm, Rindfleisch Wellington und Meeresfrüchten. Als Desserts werden Bananas Foster und Cherries Jubilee angeboten, beide am Tisch zubereitet.

My husband and I had dinner here for our anniversary. Jeremy was our server. He was prompt in greeting us. He shared the specials for the evening. He gave suggestions/ shared with us his likes. He was very attentive, while carrying a full section and a table who was needy and grumpy. Jeremy never skipped a beat or let anyone throw him off. I could see that the entire staff worked well together. We were greeted with smiles upon arrival. We were given a booth per our request. Our food was cooked to perfect temperatures. The sides could’ve been larger portions but were overall very tasty. We started with the Butternut Squash bisque and Caesar salad. For Entree’s we had a filet, lamb and the elk… all which were cooked perfectly (medium). In addition for sides we had Mac and cheese, Brussels and Au Gratin potatoes. We ordered two deserts which were a lava cake and I wish I could remember what the other was. It was suggested by Jeremy and WOW was it amazing. He also surprised us with an anniversary ice cream which was yummy as well. Usually my husband recognizes when I’m watching mistakes at restaurants but this was not the case here. I do the training in a fine dinning restaurant at a casino in Sacramento and I had zero complaints. This was the first time in many years that every single point of service was met or exceeded expectations. My husband was blown away by everything. Thank you to the entire staff for making our night special. We cannot wait to return!

The food was delicious as always! The view was spectacular, and our waiter, Hal, was superior! The Sage Room never disappoints! We go every time we visit Tahoe and will continue to do so for as long as we're able to!

We were seated at a great corner window table and enjoyed the twilight lake view. The servers appeared to be stretched thin and the meal was delivered late with a cold baked potato that we had asked to be split (it wasn’t). The prime rib lacked taste and tenderness. The sea bass was wonderful. Seemed to be a timing issue combined with less than par beef entree. We hope to have better luck next time. The prices were much less than Friday Station so we took it in stride but it still did some damage to the pocketbook.

Clam chowder was very stock, few clam pieces that were minuscule,sea bass portion very small as well, excellent service

Great views. Incredible food. Exceptional service. My husband and I enjoyed the bone marrow appetizer, rib eye with horseradish, filet mignon with bearnaise, mushrooms, asparagus, hokkaido scallops and blue cheese with the steaks and mushrooms. I will not forget this dining experience! Thank you for a wonderful ending to my husband's birthday.

Amazing fine dining restaurant! While a tad on the higher side price wise, it has great views of the Lake, exceptional service (ask for Teddy) and great food. Worth it for special celebrations.

The food was good, steaks were cooked perfectly, the lobster a bit underdone. The only differentiation between Sage Room and other steakhouses is the view and the cost of menu items. Not sure when casinos that make money from the gambling thought they became ultra resorts and thought it was ok to charge exorbitant prices for their restaurants. The restaurants used to be a perk.. now we live in an era of paid parking and ridiculous pricing at casinos. Such arrogance. That being said… was it worth it? Maybe.. you decide.
