   They said they were short staffed. But that doesn’t explain the inedible mussels.

   Good service, but we felt the food was very over priced. We had the rye knot appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert, and drinks. Food was nothing special, but had the price tag of a 5 star restaurant. Drinks were decent but again, pricey at around $15 per drink.

   What a pleasant surprise! Rye Knot is a neighborhood restaurant I have driven by for several years but have never dined at. Now I realize what I’ve been missing! Great food and drinks with a fun, diverse menu. Something for everyone. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable- great for groups or date-night. I’ll definitely be back!

   Overall nice set up. We were at the early end of dinner. The temperature was cool enough all the patrons I saw kept their boats on. Big portions and everything was tasty

   Service was a bit slow seeing that it wasn't very busy, but the people including management (perhaps owner?) were all very pleasant. Food was great and priced right.

   We had an excellent dinner at Rye Knot! Our group of five included two people who eat gluten-free, and we were pleasantly surprised by the number of options available – way more than their website or Yelp lets on. If you’re gluten intolerant, this place is a hidden gem with tons of choices. We’re always on the lookout for spots north of Asheville, and Rye Knot was a great new find. My wife ordered a gluten-free Reuben with gluten-free fries, and my daughter had a gluten-free sandwich. The rest of us enjoyed the fish and chips, a filet, and the meatloaf – everything was delicious. Portions were generous, leaning on the larger side, which we appreciated. The drink menu is extensive, with lots of beer and cocktail options. Every bar order we tried was excellent. While they seemed a little short-staffed, the service didn’t skip a beat. The manager, chef, and bartender all pitched in to help serve, and it really showed – we didn’t experience any delays. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a laid-back, unpretentious, and slightly military-inspired vibe. Rye Knot is definitely on our list of places to return to. Highly recommend!

   What a wonderful find! The restaurant is a brewery and distillery. It looks like a humble sports bar, but the menu is extensive. Their specialty is a smoked meat loaf—outstanding. And my salmon served with asparagus and orzo prepared with sun dried tomatoes and artichokes could have been served at any five star restaurant. We will be back!

   This is truly a gem in North Asheville. They have a varied menu, from sandwiches to steak.,On Thursdays, they have all-you-can eat mussels. They delicious, as were the sides we ordered. The brussel sprouts went well with them. They have a nice assortment of beers and cocktails, making some of their own beers and spirits. Finally, the service was excellent. We were seated properly on arrival, and our server, Christine, was very personable and attentive.

    What a hidden gem! We found this neighborhood restaurant by luck. We started with the famous rye knots with the dipping sauces, it was perfect while we decided on entrees. My husband decided on the smoked meatloaf and I had the fish sandwich. While my husband enjoyed his dinner , he was jealous over my crispy battered fillet and tallow fries! We ended the meal with an amazing bread pudding! Until next time!
