    Rudy Royale in Charleston is an absolute delight for anyone seeking bold flavors and a welcoming atmosphere. The star of the show is undoubtedly the chicken sandwich – perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with unforgettable flavor. It’s hands down the best chicken sandwich in town! The sides deserve a standing ovation as well. The Brussels sprouts, tossed in their magical sauce, are a flavor explosion that will have you scraping the plate. The garlic potatoes with the crispy edges are rich, and comforting – a must-order. And then there’s the mac and cheese: ooey, gooey, and everything you want in this classic comfort dish. Truly, you’ll regret skipping it. We started with the deviled eggs, a perfectly executed classic that set the tone for the meal. As for dessert, we tried the banana pudding. While it was good, it didn’t quite live up to the hype compared to the rest of the menu, but it was a sweet way to end the meal nonetheless. Rudy Royale is a culinary treasure in Charleston, with standout dishes that will have you coming back for more. Don’t miss it!

    I originally had a reservation for later in the day but was heading in that direction earlier. I called the restaurant, and they were so accommodating and got me in right away. From that moment to when I left everything was amazing. Karmyn, my server, was attentive, helpful, and very pleasant. I ordered a bunch of dishes to try because I couldn't decide, and it was all fantastic. I especially liked the cornbread and deviled egg appetizers. When it was time to box everything up, Karmyn labeled all the boxes and even added in a sweet surprise (dessert). Thank you for a lovely experience. 💜 I highly recommend Ruby Royale!

    Got lots of little kids? Tourist in town and the line at Hyman’s too long? Forgot to make a reservation in downtown Charleston? Plenty of space for you here! Atmosphere is actually pretty decent. Staff even early in evening went from disinterested/tired front of house to over worked but functional service. No real interaction. Mostly fried chicken. Chicken on sandwiches was thick and juicy. Nashville Hot was HOT but good. Everything is extra. The sandwich comes w mayo and slaw on it and a “side” of a few pickled cuke slices. Want tomato? $.50. Onion? $.50. Cheese? $2. Easy to make a $25 chicken sandwich. Side of fries is a SIDE. Not a basket. Small. And heat lamped sog. Like the out of the bag bun. The chicken piece meal was juicy too but more bone and breading than chicken. The chick fingers for $17 was two small strips and those cuke slices. The lone non-chicken entree was well received. Salmon w sweet potatoes and sautéed kale. Under $30 and look good. 5 alcoholic drinks, no apps and a couple sandwiches and strips was $240 for 5. That included the 3% charge for using plastic and the 20% card reader tip. Chick Filet w draft beer and wine by the glass. Chicken and pickles. Maybe that’s what it costs now.

    Came here 12/14 for a one year anniversary celebration and had a 4:45 reservation, we arrived early and was still able to be seated right away. We had a phenomenal server, bartender, and hostess was very accommodating. We will definitely be back for more. The warm crab dip was out of this world along with all of our entrees!

    Loved the ambience, food was good, chicken was great. Had a bad experience due to a large group of men celebrating a birthday and banging on their table… we were on a date night

    Overall a great experience though very pricey. Our waiter was great refilling our water glasses. The food was really good, but $120 for three people for lunch was very expensive.
