   The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. The duck fat fried chicken and the cornbread is definitely a must.

   I liked the restaurants ambience and the service was excellent unfortunately my New York prime steak was overcharged and had a burnt crispy layer covering the entire steak. The service was awesome, but then we got to the dessert that we ordered to go and we got home. We noticed that the portions were so small food was a bit pricey for the quality. Coop!

   Roots was absolutely amazing, the food and service was phenomenal. Kennan was our waiter and was a joy to talk to and was very knowledgeable on the menu and restaurant itself. I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu it was incredible.

   Roots is a wonderful place for a great meal. The owners are present and are very responsive should the need arise. I highly recommend their Fried Chicken you will find non better in the state of Texas. They offer some great wines and cocktails. It is worth the drive from Dallas to visit this not to be missed restaurant.

   I highly recommend the cornbread, it was on another level. It's the best cornbread I have ever had. We got the duck fat fried chicken, fried yams, southern greens served family style and everything was phenomenal! The food was out of this world!

   First of all, our server, Chris, was excellent! We tried the Fried Squash Blossoms, Spring Pea Salad, Cast Iron Cornbread,My Mother’s Gumbo, Duck Fat Fried Chicken, Kurobuta Pork Belly, Drop Bisquits, Dark Chocolate Lava Cake and Orange Juice Cake. Everything was so delicious, and we will definitely return! 😋

   Dined at Roots Southern Table while we were visiting Dallas. They do not have a GF menu, but the staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. We loved both of our entrees. One was New Zealand lamb chops (substituted the fried yams as the Hoppin John is not GF) and the pork belly. We will return when we come back to Dallas. Recommend reservations as they were very busy on a Thursday night.

    Felt like I had to try the fried chicken, which exceeded expectations, but really sufficient for a party of 4, too much for just my wife and i ((especially with the best gumbo I've had in Dallas), unbelievable tasty greens and corn bread. Jazz on Sunday was a great touch! Can't believe I haven't been here before.
