Von der OpenTable-Redaktion: James Beard semifinalist Randy Rucker and his wife-partner Amanda Rucker opened this American gem in 2019 dedicated to spotlighting seasonal ingredients from the region. The intimate dining room feels like an extension of the open kitchen, where a four-course menu changes constantly, from sweet amalia oysters with buttermilk ponzu & trout roe to smoked steelhead trout with maple, celeriac & agretti. The results landed River Twice on the New York Times's list of the best Philadelphia restaurants.

Philosophie

Our goal is to encourage a sincere connection to the Delaware River Valley and mid-Atlantic region through the ingredients we select and the dishes we serve. A close relationship with local purveyors allows us to develop an evolving menu, making every visit a unique experience.

Join us at our communal table to enjoy a multi-course, family-style meal—everything but the turkey. Whether you're joining with friends or coming solo, our shared table is the perfect setting to meet new friends and share a memorable evening. Now in its third year, this annual event has become a beloved tradition among our guests. We are having one seating at 7pm, tickets are limited! Tickets are pre-paid and includes tax. A 20% service charge for our entire team will be included in your final bill. Beverages are available for additional purchase in house. Dietary restrictions & allergies are unable to be accommodated due to the nature of this event. Tickets are final sale.

For a truly immersive experience reserve a seat at our chef’s counter to enjoy an up-close and personal interaction with the artistry of our culinary team. Please note, the chefs counter is counter-height seating. Dietary restrictions must be noted ahead of booking, we are unable to accommodate vegan, dairy free or allium requests.

River Twice is my new favorite spot in Philly! Took myself out to dinner here at the counter and was not disappointed. Everyone from the servers to the kitchen team was friendly and attentive. The food was creative and the drinks my server recommended were great too. Started with a sesame cocktail that was delicious and then a glass of wine. Overall 10/10 experience, would definitely recommend.

Every dish flawless. Top notch service. My bf doesn’t love olives, clams, or mushrooms but he ate all 3 while we were here. I think that speaks for itself. I can’t even pick a favorite dish and I loved the maple foam with seasonal fruits and buckwheat madeleines for dessert!

Can't praise River Twice enough. Great meal from start to finish with great service as well. I am still thinking about the second course we had of razor clams and squash with white truffle. That was incredible!

River Twice can be summed up by one word…Exceptional. From exceptional ambiance and atmosphere, to exceptional food and exceptional service. They go beyond attention to detail, they pay attention to EVERY detail, to ensure that you and your dining party have the most seamless and memorable dinner of your life. The food was exquisite, dare I say edible works of art filled with vibrant flavours and thoughtful components. I was left astonished as bite after bite culinary magic danced across my tongue engaging my pallet and my soul. Chef Randy has really created something magical, a culinary oasis on an otherwise humble street corner. Do your self a favour and come experience the gastronomic wanderlust that is River Twice.

We really enjoyed our experience dining at the chefs counter. The tasting menu was a perfect balance of creativity and flavor, showcasing seasonal ingredients . Each dish was a highlight, thoughtfully presented and expertly crafted. The interactive nature of the counter allowed us to engage with the chefs, whose passion for their craft was evident. The combination of exceptional food, attentive service, and the unique opportunity to watch the culinary team in action made this a dining experience we won’t forget. We can’t wait to return!

So disappointed to finally eat here after hearing such good things about it. The food was ok but really boring. Least interesting expensive restaurant in this neighbourhood.
