Experience award-winning fine dining in a modern, contemporary setting while supporting our highly talented students on their journey to professional excellence. Restaurant at Birmingham College of Food offers top quality food and service delivered by students training on our chef, food service courses under the guidance of industry expert tutors at University College Birmingham.

Restaurant provides exceptional value for money for high levels of cooking, service, creative flair and quality seasonal produce. Our Dinner Menu might include delicious fish and shellfish, premium beef, lamb, poultry or game, and imaginative vegetarian dishes. This runs alongside a lunchtime menu providing excellent value for money. The restaurant also draws on a dedicated pastry section where our skilled student chefs produce an array of elegant desserts.

Lovely setting Lovely food Lovely service, well done guys. We were served the Xmas menu and enjoyed what we had but were disappointed that the complimentary mince pies and brandy butter did not materialise ☹️ Merry Christmas x

Food was excellent. In particular the sprouts, which are so easy to overcook, were perfect. The staff, a mixture it appeared, of experienced and novice, were attentive and worked well a a team. Amusing and pleasing in particular to see how a clearly junior member of staff was helped to open his first bottle of wine. Maybe a little nervous but that just added to the relaxed atmosphere. Lots of space between tables so we could talk without listening in to other conversations. Music unobtrusive. We’ll certainly aim to return and hopefully take some guests as well.

The Christmas menu was being served so my husband had turkey for his main which he really enjoyed. I had lamb which was delicious and came with a very good sauce. Starters and desserts also great. Tasty and very well presented. We will definitely visit again.

We had lunch and it was the first week of the Christmas menu - 3 courses for £35, includes a welcome drink, cracker on table, bread, coffee and mini mince pie. We asked how much 2 courses would be and we were advised £25. However, when bill came, it was £30 - when we questioned it, we were told that we had been told incorrectly. Vegetarian main course was rather small , but the lamb was delicious.

This is a fantastic place to dine supporting students studying Culinary Arts at UCB. We had the 3 course festive menu. All dishes beautifully presented, with great depth of flavour, and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Normally very impressed with food and service but something was definitely lacking when we dined today. Thin roast parsnips were like crisps, one small carrot each , sprouts in short supply. No one asked if we had enjoyed our meal….and table clearing was very rapid….serviettes disappearing half way through meal. Hopefully this was a ‘one off’.
