    After not visiting for many years as it is a far drive for us, our experience was not great. We were seated at a table for 2 right by the entrance to the dining room and it was quite busy with servers etc. walking back and forth. We ordered the R.C.I. stroganoff and the Berkshire pork chop. The stroganoff was excellent, but the pork chop was very under cooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen TWICE. When it finally came back cooked enough to eat, my husband was finished with his dish, the veg on my plate was cold and soggy as was my potato. Our server, who was quite good and super friendly, explained the undercooked chop because it was a new item to the menu. The cost of the chop was taken off of our bill and we were given a complimentary dessert, which was a nice way of compensating, but it would have been nice for both of us to have eaten at the same time. We decided to have an after dinner drink in the bar since they had some live music. As I approached the bar where there were four open stools, I was told that all the seats were taken (even though there were no coats, drinks or anything signifying "taken"). As we looked further down the bar the "taken" seats became occupied by children. That topped the unsatisfying night for me, so we left and will not return.

    The Ribeye steak was incredible, haven’t had a steak that good in many years.. The wife’s filet was a little overdone but that was do to having them butterfly it, won’t do that again. Everything else was pretty much top notch, now I understand why they have been around for so long. Will return many more times..

    From the host who was great to the bartender, I didn’t get his name, and to the food which was all very good, made the evening relaxing and enjoyable. A bit too loud w the music in the bar but I’m nitpicking. Whomever made the Brussel sprouts sides should get a shout out too. Our waitress was good and pleasant as well. See you again in 2025.

    We were celebrating our anniversary and were looking for a nice supper club experience; we were not disappointed. We arrived early for our reservation in order to enjoy cocktails at the bar. We had excellently crafted old fashioned and manhattan cocktails. The service was great but the temperature in bar was a little cool. We were given plenty of time to settle in and then were seated by the host when ready. Our food was delicious and very well prepared. The only fault was that the baked potatoes could have been hotter (our server did offer to reheat them). We were recognized with a personal anniversary note at our table, signed by the staff and later were presented with two packaged cookies and a flute of champagne while again seated at the bar for after dinner drinks. Overall an excellent experience; would definitely return.

    This was our first visit since the change in ownership. The experience was not what it used to be.

    Our waiter Philip was phenomenal. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, salmon and Delmonico steak. I am from North Carolina and the kitchen was very accommodating with my request to add Cheese Curds as a topper for my steak. The staff said it was the most Wisconsin meal they had ever served. Of course pair with an old Fashioned! Highly recommend this historical landmark.
