   We chose this locals' pub in St Agnes specifically to listen to some live music on a Sunday afternoon. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was friendly and we had a relaxing fun afternoon on a chilly February day.

   Food and service was amazing, warm welcoming staff. Beautiful historical building. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you guys

   I have a pub meal about once a week normally, and did every night when visiting Cornwall recently. The meal at the Railway was good. Service was much faster than then some of the other pubs I've eaten at. The food was good and there is a car park at the back which is great as well.

   Even though I phoned after booking to confirm (after seeing other comments on here about there being no record of bookings) & spoke to a lady who confirmed the booking, when we arrived they had no record of our booking in their diary. They also told us the kitchen was out of action & that if we were in their diary they would have phoned us. Luckily we found somewhere else that could accommodate us.

   Very welcoming and friendly staff. Great choice of beer and cider. Nacho starter was a bit basic and chicken nuggets from the kids menu was too small. Chicken tikka curry was fantastic.

   Very quiet. When we arrived we were informed that there were no fish dishes available. This meant the more than half the menu was unavailable. Very disappointing. I had to have two starters for a main as i don’t eat red meat. My partner had the gammon which was very tough. The chips were soggy! The other couple with us ordered nachos which were also disappointing- a topping of only cheese and chilli, despite the menu saying quacamole. Overall a very lack lustre experience. We will not return. A text to explain the lack of fish might have been polite.

   Great pub with lots going on. Bingo & raffle was great fun. Good sized car park for our campervan overnight too.

    Sadly the food was really not very good, and the portion size’s were disappointing for price paid.
