    Come experience an abridged version of Chef Andrew Zimmerman's popular Chef's Menu before enjoying a night at the theater! In collaboration with Chicago's vibrant theater community, we bring you the best way to enjoy Proxi in a shorter format to allow for a quick dinner before a show. The menu features a first course of sharables for the table, followed by a choice entree course, and family style dessert, all highlighting our kitchen team's globe-trotting, award-winning style. Available Monday through Saturday, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please allow approximately 90 minutes for your pre-theater experience.

    Proxi is thrilled to participate in Chicago Restaurant Week 2025! From January 24th through February 9th we will offer a special four-course family style Restaurant Week Menu for $60 per guest. Enhancements will also be available to elevate your experience. The full menu can be viewed on our website www.proxichicago.com or on the Chicago Restaurant Week website www.eatitupchicago.com. Please note that our standard a la carte menu will not be available during Restaurant Week. A credit card will be required to secure your reservation. A $25 charge per guest will be applied to any no-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of your reservation. You will not be charged to make a reservation - payment will be collected at the restaurant.

    New Year’s Eve had a different menu, everything we ate was incredible. They gave champagne to everyone in the dinning room at midnight and the ambiance/ energy was amazing. We are hoping to go back soon for happy hour.

    I made reservations and waited an hour to get to it. It seemed they overbooked themselves when I was there and waiting longer than others who came in after us and got a table sooner. The food was okay. I have eaten at other fine dining restaurants that was worth the price. I give the food a 7/10.

    One of the best meals imaginable! Unfortunately it’s so hard to get into Proxi & we need to book a few weeks in advance. Not inexpensive, nor expensive. That said , a really good value given the exceptional experience.

    An amazing experience paired with great service and food too match. Elizabeth was a great server that help us fulfill our requests. The chef’s menu is a must if you’re a newcomer.

    Casual elegant restaurant with great cuisine. The staff were all very professional and timely with their service. Will definitely return!

    We arrived early and sat at the bar for a bit. That experience was great: bar staff were excellent, atmosphere was great and drinks were perfect. Once we were seated at our table the waitstaff seemed attentive we ordered the chefs tasting with wine pairing. This is where things went wrong. They brought the first course and half way through they brought the first wine. Would have been nice to have it a little before or at least served at the same time. As for the food, The crab/coconut starter was interesting and the soup was good we liked the sweet, sour, earthly flavor but the sausage was mealy and the chicharrones were flavorless styrofoam, the green sauce was the only thing on the sausage plate that wasn’t bad. For the second course the wine arrived first and was a great pairing for the dishes. My husband liked the bass and sticky rice and I thought the pork medallions were nice and flavorful but neither dish were really memorable. The dessert came and went without us ever receiving the dessert wine…the sweet potato cheese cake was good as was the other thing (but again I don’t even remember what the other thing was maybe a pistachio ice cream…)The experience was not remotely close to meeting my expectations as a whole. Not sure what about this place would make it stand out.

    Order the Chef’s Menu - well worth it and you get to try so many different things that way. Service was impeccable.

    We did the chef’s counter and 3 course family style Thai dinner and had an amazing experience. Easily one of the best meals we have had this year and Chef Andrew even stopped by to wish my girlfriend a happy birthday. Unforgettable!

    Amazing- we were fortunate to experience the Chef’s table. Incredible! We did the tasting menu and it was such a delight. Amazing service and food.
