   There were only a few people in the restaurant but our server was very inattentive. We were there quite a while and ordered lots of stuff, but she only refilled our glasses, which were Styrofoam, only once.

   Being a New Orleans native I was really excited when I heard a restaurant celebrating Mardi Gras especially with all you can eat crawfish, but unfortunately when we got there we learned our reservation meant nothing and was told we would have to wait a half an hour to be seated and even though I clearly stated in the reservation that I had 4 kids 1 being a toddler and 1 only 5 months for some reason the hostess thought it would be a good idea to offer us seating outside with the extremely strong winds. Once I told her we would not like to sit outside she seemed annoyed and offered to clean a small table that still would not accommodate our large party. After waiting for her to clean the table she then told us that table wouldn’t be for us that we would have to wait for another take to become available, I asked to speak with a manager but was told I would have to wait to speak with a manager also so we decided to just leave. As a mother of 3 with 2 small babies I make it a point to make reservations and add notes so the restaurant can properly accommodate us, I even called 15 mins before and asked about parking so they were fully aware that we were coming.

   We absolutely LOVE Poche’s. They are the ONLY good Seafood Restaurant in the B/CS area!

   It took 45 minutes to get one of our two appetizers (the second one never came). We had reservations but people seated after us got their food faster and our orders were simple, nothing complex. This was supposed to be a birthday celebration for my husband but was instead very disappointing.

   Tried this place on valentines and it was phenomenal. We aren’t seafood aficionados by any means, and I can’t speak to the authenticity, but I had the platter with oysters, shrimp, fries, catfish and stuffed crab, and it was leagues better than seafood I’ve had in beach towns. We tried the alligator and it was great (market price was low) and the hush puppies are fight worthy. They were out of key lime pie but we were arriving at dessert at around 9:45 pm on valentines so we’ll see that with a bit of empathy. Great service and great food. Highly recommend, even if it’s just to try and not to become a regular.

   We’ve been to Porche’s prior to this & it’s been wonderful. This time we had a new waiter & it was also very busy. We’ve always loved it so we’ll be back.

    Was not true Cajun food by no means. My oysters on my po’boy were old and not fresh. It was like chewing on rubber! Not to mention that five oysters on 7 inches of bread is not a good deal at all. The waiter provided good service and the key lime pie was also good, and thus, the only reason I didn’t give the entire review one star. I doubt that we will be going back now after reading other reviews have that said pretty much the same thing that I have. I just wish that I had read them before going to the establishment. Certainly not what we expected from the flash they have on their website.☹️
