   4 of us went for the steak night and I was delighted by the delicious flat iron steak and the house butter was incredible! My dad asked for his steak to be medium rare but sent it back for a bit more cooking as it was a bit too much on the rare side for him. He sent the steak back twice for recooking but the team were very happy to help. Great service and I look forward to returning.

   Great consistent delicious food as always! Great friendly staff knowledgeable. Desserts are sooooo good.

   Simple well cooked cuisine with great service. Wish we’d visited sooner. Happy to fully recommend the Ox Club.

   The best Sunday roast ever! We have been to Ox club a few times and it never fails to impress. The Sunday Roast is fantastic with great service.

    The restaurant was quirky in an interesting way and had a relaxed atmosphere. The service was informal and friendly. The food was very good. We both had starters, both very enjoyable, for mains I had roasted cod which was cooked to perfection and the potato side dish I ordered had the most amazing flavours, in fact the best potatoes dish I've ever tasted. My partner had a lamb mixed grill, again very well cooked. There were some negatives. It was a very cold night and the restaurant's temperature was uncomfortably cold given that eating in a restaurant is a sedentary activity. Each time the outside door was opened any heat was immediately sucked out. Our server told us the heating wasn't working, so basically any warmth was that emanating from the open kitchen which was quite a distance from where we were sat. Introducing a portable heater would have been a good initiative. The mains as stated were very well cooked but when served weren't very hot and given the room temperature soon went cold, this did detract from our enjoyment of them. The OX Club doesn't have any control over this but the restaurant doesn't have its own toilets, they are communal, shared with other businesses in the building. They are situated up two flights of stairs, open to the outside air and very cold which further reduced our body temperature. After we left the restaurant we went to a nearby pub to warm up. Given the room temperature and the toilets, certainly in winter we won't revisit.
