The crown jewel of the hotel, our rooftop restaurant Overlea (meaning, “over the meadows”), is a stunning open concept space with horseshoe bar, floor to ceiling windows, and breathtaking views of historic Newmarket. The menu is a celebration of seasonal simplicity created by Chef Jon Turner. With terraces on each side complete with greenery, lounge furniture and fire tables, Overlea is the perfect place for a quiet escape into an evening of the unknown. Three out of 4 of us were celebrating birthdays, and so the champagne and dessert was a very nice touch! Our server was very sweet, but her inexperience showed in her service. Our food was quite slow arriving, and we got the impression that the toast had been sitting for a while as it was rock hard. Otherwise, it was good. The place is stunning though, and may well justify the higher than usual prices for breakfast. Mr. August was extremely pleasant and charming… very professional. We will return to see the landscape when it isn’t covered by snow!

This is my fourth visit to Overlea. I love that it's a rooftop restaurant and the decor is beautiful. I've never had a bad meal. The one issue today for lunch was the fries. I love thin crispy fries but these were a mixture of perfect fries and way over done, and as the fries cooled off they got harder. I really hope for the price clients are paying that the fries are not getting reheated or deep fried 2 and 3 times.

Our entire table agreed that this was the best meal we have all had in a long time! Food and drinks were fabulous! And our server, Kyle, was so friendly and had a great energy. Definitely will recommend Overlea to everyone. Cheers!

We celebrated two birthdays here and although the food and atmosphere was great, unfortunately, there was a very long wait time for our meals throughout the night - from getting our drinks to the main course to then dessert. We weren't impressed with the service either since we felt kind of neglected and had to notify the server for their attention. It would have been nice if they came over to check on us or try to create a better service experience due to the long wait time for our food.

Price was on par but expensive like everywhere else. Service was slow at the beginning but improved. Atmosphere was awesome. Food was quality was great! Love the Brussel Sprouts!
