    Nice welcome at the entrance. It’s all good and a good place for a fine-dining type experience. The food is good but uneven. The pretentious amuse-bouche with caviar and what not mostly tasted like a tater tot. The fish dishes were complex, refined and original, the meat we tried was hearty and unsophisticated (bit heavy beef cheek). Table service style was a bit detached, bordering on snob. Overall felt like I overpaid. Men’s bathrooms are not well looked after. No hand towels, water all over the floor, smelly… One pays for the location, the reputation and the decor, but I feel they can do better. It seems they are coasting. Big plus: it’s a quiet place.

    Valentine's day dinner - prix fixe menu with lots of excellent choices for each course. Everything my wife and i ordered had gourmet complexity and were very generous in size. We enjoy the ambience and energy of the restaurant which has a kind of New York restaurant feel. Beautiful space and lighting.

    We were celebrating a birthday and our waitress Josephine was wonderful. One member of the party was late and we were never rushed and we had a wonderful afternoon.

    We had a great business dinner with a large group. We had great service, delicious food and comfortable environment. We look forward to coming back again soon!

    The bar seems to be a happening place these days. Perfect for happy hour. We ate in the dining room. The menu has been slightly expanded which was needed. Brazino was fabulous in some sort of a emulsified sauce. Unusual and excellent.

    I prefer the artichoke with the tuna. Had to wait 20 minutes before our order was taken--not ok.

    It pains me to write this review after the many wonderful meals we've had at One Market. Took my bestie in for her birthday lunch last week, a longstanding tradition. We noticed that they do a special French Dip on Fridays, so that's what we ordered. When our food arrived I was surprised that the sandwiches were served cold. Cold bread, cold (but beautifully rare) beef, and strangest of all, tepid jus - which was not jus but a thick demi-glace. We each took a bite before realizing the extent of the coldness. I motioned our server over and asked if it was meant to be served cold and she assured us it was not and sent it back to the kitchen. When our plates were returned to us the bread (with our bites taken out of it) was still cold, but the meat had been sort of half-heated in a lot of the demi-glace so it was a saucy mess on a cold baguette. The demi-glace on the side was still cold and in the time it took to re-do, our French fries were cold. So I called the server over again, nicely pointed out the issues, and asked for our sandwiches to be remade. She was, again, apologetic. When the new plates were brought out the temperature was correct, but the whole thing was just the opposite of delightful. The demi-glace was thick and salty and the meat was pre-sauced and drippy. Our server said the oddest thing a couple of times - "Thank you for teaching us how to do our jobs." I couldn't tell if she was sincere, or just being super passive aggressive. She mentioned that the chef was out that day, but I find it hard to believe that none of the others working in the kitchen had ever prepared a sandwich before. She did comp our dessert- the famously delicious butterscotch pudding. But even that had an oddly broken texture, not the creaminess of the past. Overall, a disappointing experience.

    Very disappointing. The so-called "Big Sandwich" was not at all big, although if the ingredients were as advertised size wouldn't have mattered. The 12 hour smoked brisket was not smoked in any flavor, was served cold, and when sent back came returned luke warm. The brisket itself was cut thick and tough. The advertised "twice baked rye" was only two thin slices of store bought sliced package bread of no flavor and with no discernible rye seeds. I've had better sandwiches at corner bodegas., and for far less than $22 or so. The whole thing was a bad joke. If I not had more important things to discuss with my companion this whole issue would have been raised then, but I had to let it pass.

    Always come here for the latkes and pastrami sandos, both of which are fantastic. I do wish I’d get more meat like Katz’s in NY, but it’ll do.
