My parents, my wife and I were in Syd for a few days from the Surf Coast in Victoria & decided to spend the afternoon in Bondi as my folks had never been. I had been many times to the RSL & always raved about the million dollar views & it was a magical sunny day to sit on the balcony to enjoy, a very pleasant experience.

Great afternoon into the night I had guests with me visiting from out-of-state. Had a really good time staff very friendly and helpful. Didn’t feel rushed unlike some establishments in Bondi. Only thing I would recommend for a Friday is maybe a duo , band or even music playing in the background from 5pm. Great place , will be back.

Food, service, value all ok and what you'd expect for an RSL club. Low review from me because the noise was absolutely terrible, to the point our table of 8 could not hear the person sitting next to us and we left straight after we'd eaten. The RSL club had a bingo night starting at 7.30 (unbeknownst to us) in the main dining area. They had squashed our table of 8 right up against the stage and directly underneath one of the speakers. Despite asking a staff member, and subsequently the manager, to adjust the volume of the speaker, they claimed they were unable to (yep sure). A really poor experience after having had two quite reasonable dinners there in the past.

Very underwhelming. I bought a membership, not worth it. The food was incredibly average and bland yet expensive. There was 0 service. We had a reservation and wanted to have a nice dinner, and people kept coming up to us asking if they could sit with us, no point in making a reservation. Staff were unhelpful, it was just a really poor experience and I would not go back or recommend.

No Air conditioning, tables near us were not cleared the whole time we were there, we were squashed in and had to keep moving for people walking by, we booked- got there early (parking was a nightmare) and were told we had the long table in the window. We hung out in the pokies (only airconditioned section) for an hour while we waited for our booking and when they directed us to our table, they had halved the length and we didn't get the window. The food came out quite quickly but only half the docket and then a wait for the other half on the same docket. I felt sorry for the staff as there were so many people and they were clearly understaffed and unable to keep up with cleaning and bar service etc the place was filthy. We will never go there again and I will tell others not to bother. We are RSL members in Vic and like to support the RSL when we travel but this experience was dreadful and we would have left, and were very tempted to do so but we would have been charged $30/person on the credit card I booked with ($180). Someone needs to manage this place and raise it to the standards of its prime position and the RSL. Beyond disappointed.

Fans were not turned on until late. It was a hot day and the place was packed so it was like a sauna. There were no chicken schnitzels left which ruled out multiple options from the menu which was disappointing given that we purposely chose an early time (5:30) to minimize the likelihood of that problem. Given the time of year, you were also understaffed and the bar staff were completely overwhelmed
