More than a restaurant, Nicksan is a culinary experience of the highest level. In its open kitchen, the ingredients of two ancestral cultures located on opposite sides of the world are fused.

Its owners Masayuki Niikura and Ángel Carbajal, originally from Japan and Mexico respectively, opened the first Nicksan restaurant in Los Cabos in 1994, creating amazing congruencies between the flavors of both countries.

Some of the signature dishes that you can taste at our fabulous Residences Plaza location in Nuevo Vallarta are the spicy tuna cake, the salmon skin cone, the Shiromi Coriander and Maguro Lemon sushi rolls, the cucumber salad with wakame seaweed and crab, the gorgonzola shrimp and the serranito beef fillet.

Within our new cocktail and sake menu you will find unique creations, perfect to match your lunch, dinner or just to toast with friends in an environment full of elegance and flavor. Come and try the best of two worlds!

    Excellent service, tasty food, and wonderful drinks from the Fonsini Coctail Bar. Our servers Manuel and Natalie were exceptional. I highly recommend you try Nicksan when you are in NV, you will not be disappointed!!

    Very attentive wait staff who had good suggestions. The food was excellent, and the portions were ample. The mixed seafood salad appetizer was definitely enough for two people! It could have been a meal in itself and was very very tasty. We had a 6 PM reservation and were surprised to have a two for one happy hour for alcoholic beverages at that time of day.

    Eating outside is a wonderful choice. This was our 2nd visit to Nicksan and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience both times. Restaurant is a $10 cab ride from Vidanta.

    La calidad de los alimentos es muy mala, pedimos entradas, plato fuerte y cócteles y nada nos gustó, la zona de la terraza está padre. El servicio es muy bueno

    My aunt and uncle recommended we come here and they were right! The food was absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly. Lovely ambience!

    Heard about good reviews but it was outstanding . Will recommend to anyone who wants to have a special meal. I have tried many Japonese restaurants and I can tell you it’s my number 1 now
