Nevedya is Food for the Spirit, an organic plant-focussed restaurant & cafe in the Dandenong Ranges outside Melbourne. We serve wholefood vegetarian and vegan world cuisine with flavours from India, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and beyond. Our ingredients are healthy, ethical, organic, seasonal and showcase produce from local farms and growers.

Run by husband and wife duo Daniel and Shakti, it is an experience to bring you back to your true self. The food is a cleansing experience of reconnecting to nourishment at its untainted roots.

All the food is designed and created by female head chef Shakti Iyer with intention to nurture, transform and heal.

Inspired by Indian restaurants, Ayurveda and our travels throughout the world expect to taste our famous Ayurvedic khichadi, Sri Lankan masala dosa, world fusion tapas, plant-based all day breakfasts and our amazing organic and healthy desserts!

    The Nevedya Garden Party (4th Sunday of every month) is on in the afternoon with music starting at 1 PM. Swing by for an afternoon of awesome live music and delicious food until 7pm! There will be a casual and fun party vibe with lots of communal seating. There will be no reserved tables and we will be taking orders inside at the bar. There is a $5 per person entry charge to support the fantastic live musicians. No booking required - this is a walk-in only event, but we do have limited space so come early to avoid any disappointment.

    We had different dishes and they were delicious. We had the Indian curry and dosa, falafel and humus platter, chilli masala dosa thali, cashew cheesecake and more! I also tried the turmeric, honey and ginger shot. It was good to eat knowing that the produce was organic, and that means the food is full of flavour, as it is meant to be.

    The ambience in the courtyard was peaceful and harmonious. The food is multidimensional, feeding much more than just the physical being. We shared different tapas meals and desserts and felt spiritually and emotionally deeply nourished by it all.

    The food was so delicious and well presented. Nice ambience. Appreciate that dogs are allowed and they can eat with us too, loved it. The outdoor setting was great with lots of plants and lamps. Would like to give a pat to the cooks. Well done Nevedya team.

    The most soulful food on the mountain. We are blessed to have this incredible place to eat in the hills. Unbeatable delicious conscious nutritious food. The whole experience is nourishing and a complete reset

    Nevedya delivered perfectly again. My birthday party was a wonderful day. Everyone loved the food, the service, the design and the ambience. I wouldn’t think of celebrating anywhere else.
