Mt Pleasant Grille began serving great American food in December 2007, but locals know its story began long before then. From 1911 to 1962 the 100 South Main Street property was home to many businesses

Barnes Drugs, which later became Wright’s Pharmacy, boasted a popular soda fountain. Various local unions of the phosphate industry met upstairs, which was also used for town meetings. The stage, still upstairs in this building, was home to shows by Grand Ole Opry up-and-coming musicians, who later became world-famous country stars.

Mt. Pleasant Grille has plenty of table seating, an old fashioned soda fountain serving up milk shakes, sundaes and more with our ice cream made in house under the name of Main Street Creamery.

We also have 2 event rooms available for your special occasion or meeting. One room downstairs seats 35 or less and the upstairs room seats up to 150.

Mt. Pleasant Grille has two beautiful event spaces available for private meetings, wedding rehearsals, dinner parties, holiday parties, corporate events or any special occasion. The newly renovated upstairs event room, The Triangle Room, seats up to 150 people with a full bar for your party's needs. There are stairs leading to the 2nd floor only. Our second event room, The Phosphate Room, is located on the main dining room in a private setting and can hold up to 35 people. It is wheelchair accessible with French doors for privacy.

We made a reservation for the special Valentine's Day dinner in advance for 7:00 PM, but by the time we were finally served our food it was around 8:15 PM. Not only this but while my husband's entree was hot, mine was only lukewarm. I did let our waitress know and she offered to take my plate back to the kitchen and warm it up but seeing as I had already waited for over an hour for my food, I opted to keep it. In addition, when we tried to order dessert from the special Valentine's Day menu, we were told that those desserts weren't actually available so I'm not sure why no one updated the dessert menus to reflect this. Our waitress did give us the senior citizen's discount on our check because of the long wait. Overall, I don't think the restaurant was suitably prepared for this special dinner event.

The food was good but everything came out cold. We waited 45 minutes for our entrees. Three tables were seated after us and they got their food before we did.

It was Valentine’s Day and I guess I was expecting a little extra. Maybe table clothes: a warmer environment (we were set by the window and had to wear our coats the entire meal); waiting’s over thirty minutes for our food; they were out of salmon and baked potatoes.

Been here several times. This last time I took my wife here for Valentine's Day. The food was excellent as always. It took a little longer than usual, but they were very busy. They had a live musician playing at the perfect volume. You could listen and enjoy the music, or easily have a conversation. Overall this is a great place to eat. The food is great, prices are good.

We have been to Mt Pleasant Grille in the past with good experience. This restaurant has gone downhill in the last year. Our first choice on starter was not available. My first choice on draft beer was not available. Our first choice on entree was not available. We finally settled on both having the sirloin. We had to send it back. It came out well done on a med rare order. The server was walking by on a regular basis and never checking on us. We finally began just stopping any server or manager that walked by. We will not be going back......

They were out of Salmon and we sat by the brick wall which was freezing. The server could not explain the vegetarian option on the menu. We were disappointed.

The Burgers are my favorite! Anything on the menu is good to include homemade desserts and ice cream. Love the small town charm of Mt. Pleasant Grille. Great Oktoberfest menu, the Beer Garden was fun too!
