Welcome to Moonraker at Pendry Washington DC – The Wharf, a signature rooftop hideaway with a Japanese inspired menu of light bites and sushi alongside handcrafted cocktails, a curated selection of Japanese whiskeys, and more. All set around a stunning central bar boasting panoramic views of the waterfront. A laidback lounge by day evolves into a buzzy nightlife scene alongside a handsome bar that sets the scene for intimate soirées and nighttime meet ups, all by the Potomac.

Introducing Capitol Brunch. Meet us at Moonraker for an all-new weekend brunch menu, featuring everything from bottomless brunch cocktails to Japanese-infused breakfast classics.

The class will conclude on a sweet note with instruction on how to put the finishing touches on Moonraker’s famed Profiteroles. 21+ event.     Overrated and overpriced culinary experience. I have no doubt that the appeal of the restaurant has much to do with its penthouse location as it offers a breathtaking view of the potomac. Unfortunately when it pours like it did during our visit, we had to dine inside the bar area and were confined to a tiny corner table with very limited space. Despite having made reservations a little under 2 weeks in advance we were initially offered a table in a high traffic area until we requested to switch. We noticed during our visit that at least 4 couples declined to sit at that table due to its location. Kudos to our wonderful waiter for doing a great job explaining the menu.

    View is nice a staff are nice but the drinks and food are ridiculously overpriced. Drinks terrible food terrible blasting muzak over the speakers. It was a rip off will never go back and cannot recommend.

    My best friend and I had an incredible time! This was her first time here for dinner and she was thoroughly impressed. I ordered the MD Crab Fried Rice, the Maine Roll, and the spicy tuna on crispy rice! For me, the tuna dish was the absolutely star! So fresh and flavorful. I love the crunch of the fried rice but it could have used wayyy more crab! The main roll was not pretty good but I felt that the lobster was overpowered by the cucumber. My friend order the Dashi Cacio E Pepe and the Wall Street Roll! She loved everything!! I tried her dishes, and I would have to say the Wall Street roll was the best of the two if comparing to the main roll! Our waitress was so knowledgeable and so kind! She was extremely attentive! I wish I could remember her name but shout out to you!! This is one of my favorite places to go in the summer but I’m happy that I got a chance to experience it in the winter as well. I know there isn’t much space, but all they need is some live music on occasions (jazz, etc) and that would completely set it off!

    I had high hopes for this NYE dinner, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. The restaurant ran out of basic essentials like tables and plates, leaving my date and me eating with napkins—not exactly the celebratory vibe we were hoping for. To make matters worse, the wait staff seemed inconsistent and inattentive, often bypassing us entirely. At times, I felt practically invisible. While I understand the challenges of a busy holiday evening, the lack of preparation and attention to service made for a frustrating and unenjoyable experience. I hope they take steps to improve for future events.
