    I had a great experience at Moonraker during their Thursday jazz night with saxophonist King Sax. I booked a table and the service upon entering was excellent. The host very pleasant and helpful. Our server was very friendly, attentive, she allowed us time to review the menu but also made sure to check in periodically and gave great suggestions. The drinks and the food were delicious. The decor is beautiful. The view is amazing. Unfortunately it was a rainy night so the patio was closed but I look forward to coming back when the weather is better. I will add that although the drinks were very well made, they are quite expensive. So if you are someone that enjoys a few cocktails with dinner, be prepared to spend.

    We sat at the table for approximately 15 minutes, no one approached us. We had to get up and ask a random staff member will we be served. It was not busy and we went on a random week day. I’m disappointed and the food was not that great either.

    This could have easily been a 5 star review had it not been for the unfriendly, unwelcoming staff (except for bartender). We had lunch there for my bday, and it went fine. Our lunch ended and I went down to walk my friend to her car. I came back up but the server working at rooftop told me I can’t come back because the bar was closed until 4pm. It was 3:45. I said it’s ok I will just sit there just like those other guests are, and wait for my other friend I won’t order anything but she didn’t care. She said no you have to go back down. So I went back to lobby and waited for my friend and came back by 4pm… this time she told us ALL the tables were reserved, mind you this was a Monday afternoon on Veterans Day and the place was EMPTY. I asked are you sure ALL the tables are booked? She said yes and said u have to talk to host. We couldn’t believe how unwelcoming she was. It seemed it meant nothing to her that I had already dined there earlier or simply cuz I was a customer maybe there for first time (it was my first time). When we told this to the “host”, he didn’t seem to care or even react or apologize and just tried to get us a sear begrudgingly with no warmth. We ended up choosing to sit at bar simply cuz we didn’t want to tip any of the servers or hosts and the bartender seemed far friendlier and welcoming. Too bad it was my birthday and I didn’t want their negative energy to ruin my day but these types of people have no business working at a hotel like the Pendry. Not sure if I’ll be back.

    I booked a table for 10am, with the normal time limit of 2 hours. After we ordered we were told that the restaurant closes at 10.30. so we had to rush food, couldn’t get another drink etc. How can you let someone book for 10am for 2 hours when you close 30 mins after arrival? Not a great experience at all.

    The DJ during brunch with the R&B vibes was a nice touch. The food was delicious, but the service was slow. The servers were extremely nice but maybe have more people working to make the wait to order smoother. The food came quickly, just took too long to place orders and get checked on.
