Shockingly bad dinner experience at MoMos restaurant last night. I had been enticed by what is clearly just a facade of good marketing. We arrived for dinner on time to be sat in the noisiest part of the restaurant near a huge party of guests with kids screaming and making far too much noise. We asked to be moved but we were told there was no other space. I then immediately ordered calamari since I knew our 2 kids were hungry- the calamari did not show up for at least 25 mins. And it was a strange presentation of calamari ‘sticks’ in a sweet tomato sauce that tasted very strange. It took more than 40 mins for the wine my husband and I ordered to be served. Then, after 1 hr and 15 mins patiently waiting for our food (with starving kids!) the waitress brought the pizza for my daughter, that looked like it had come from a frozen box. It certainly did not resemble the pics of a woodfired pizza shown on the website. My other daughter’s chicken Alfredo looked like it was just cream on fettuccine and it had no flavor. My fettuccine with beef and spinach was SO BLAND. No flavor, no salt, no garlic, no herbs or spices- it was terrible. Then, my husband’s risotto dish was a disgrace. I make risotto at home and know how it is cooked in the broth until it becomes fluffy and almost creamy. What was served at Momos was dry, crumbly, boiled rice with a cream sauce dumped on top. Absolutely disgusting. I was shocked and refused to pay for any of the embarrassing food that we were served. Horrible experience.

We are sorry you did not enjoy MoMo, we do apologize for the delay we were busier than normal & fell behind due to a couple of large parties. As for our food we make all of our pizza dough in house and we do not have a woodburning oven nor do we have any pictures on our website showing we do. As our menu clearly states the Calamari is a steak (not tubes and tentacles) & we cut it into strips and the sauce is a tomato basil sweet chili sauce that is very popular. You are correct the rice dish that was ordered was not risotto as stated on the menu it is a boiled rice dish with a prosciutto mushroom cream sauce a special Italian Wedding rice that has been on our menu for 40 years, we do have 2 traditional risottos as well. Once again we apologize for the delay & hope you give us another try.

Once again we had a fantastic meal at Momos Lake Highlands. It is truly a gem! Our meal included panko crusted flounder and mushroom pasta. Both were excellent choices. Wine list and cocktail menu offers many tasty options. Definitely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️evening.

Excellent dinner ... the pasta dish of small mushrooms with chestnut flour pasta was quite superb. The chicken with a delightful onion based wine sauce slightly sweetened with brown sugar and red grapes was remarkable. Always great wine selection at resonable prices.

We had a wonderful experience with delicious food and beautifully paired wines with each course. Can’t wait to come back. This neighborhood restaurant will definitely become one of our go-to favorites.

I went on a search for a good italian restaurant in the area for my father’s birthday and stumbled across this place. It was a 40 minute commute from home to this location and it was worth every minute. I couldn’t be more impressed. I was greeted at the door by Wende, who is the owner of the establishment. She was warm and welcoming and even sat us herself. She also took time out of her night to go over the menu with us and give recommendations and explanations over the various food items they offer. The service was perfect, never an empty glass or question unanswered. I ordered the Fettuccine Ai Carne E Funghi which was a marvelous, flavorful dish that deserves a lot more attention. My family got the Fettuccine Alla Salsicca, Mandilli De Seta, and Ricetta Agnolotti Ai Formaggi and said they were all wonderful but agreed mine was one of the top dishes at the table. The restaurant itself had a very cute vibe and was beautiful. I would drive an hour just to eat here any day of the week. Highly recommend!

Outstanding food and outstanding service every time I go there. Interesting wine list (although I do miss the days of BYO!) and interesting (actually authentic) menu. Overall, my favorite restaurant to introduce people to and to celebrate just about any occasion.

This wonderful Italian restaurant is a bit of a hidden gem in the Lake Highlands neighborhood. Although it has a rich history and has been here for years, we just discovered it. All of the courses are traditional Italian style recipes. The food, service & ambiance are all great, with both indoor seating and an inviting patio space. We will become regular guests!
