A British restaurant and bar, Millie’s Lounge serves classic dishes alongside a selection of English sparkling wines, craft ales and seasonal cocktails.

From Monday to Saturday, you can enjoy traditional afternoon tea, set amidst the Grand Banking Hall. Enjoy cakes, scones and a selection of sandwiches with a choice of tea.

Please be advised that that Poultry Street is Entry only and Princes Street Exit only. Bookings can't be made for only drinks. Registered guide dogs only are permitted in public areas or restaurant of The Ned. Children are welcome in the restaurant with last booking at 6pm; seated up to 8pm. We will try to accommodate pushchairs where possible but please be aware there may not be space at the table. If you would like to request a highchair or for further information please contact the restaurant directly.

Please note The Ned reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation either ahead or upon arrival.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich und aufmerksam empfangen und haben ein liebevoll dekoriertes Dessert anlässlich unseres Jubiläums vom Haus geschenkt bekommen. Ein wunderbarer Ort für ein Festtagsfrühstück. Vielen Dank!

Had a lovely meal at Millies Lounge sitting near the bar area. Was glad to see there was live music with several acts on a Thursday evening. However the sound quality was not very good, which was such a shame. The general noise level was a bit too loud to have a conversation. Looked after by Alex who was rushed off his feet in our area, but made a great cocktail suggestion. Appreciate his efforts. Great visit.

First time at Millies, although I've been to other restaurants in the Ned, so knew what to expect in terms of buzzing atmosphere and easy location. Friendly staff and great flavours in the mushroom pastry starter and ribeye steak, with a decent choice of wines. The only improvement could be to the slightly slow service at various stages of the meal, otherwise I can only give very positive feedback and look forward to going again.

This is the second time I’ve been to Millie’s for drinks and the waiting staff are very rude when you let them know you’re only meeting for drinks. Today we were told we had to give the table back within 30 minutes if we’re not eating. The restaurant was pretty empty and there were plenty of tables. I mentioned that last time I came for drinks I was told an hour. She replied no it’s 30minutes. I’m not sure why the rush when it was empty. We may have been staying for several drinks but this wasn’t asked. As it was we stayed for an hour. Seems like a strange way to greet guests before they’ve even ordered and it wouldn’t be my first choice next time!

Excellent lunch in a fabulous building. The food was great and Abz, our waiter, was superb. He was professional and so helpful. We will definitely return!
