“Mi Vida” translates to “My Life.” However, in Mexico, “Mi Vida” means much more. “Mi Vida” is a term of endearment bestowed on close family and friends to signify love, care and importance. When one says, “Mi Vida,” they are telling someone special how much they mean to them. MI VIDA describes how we feel about our team and our guests. It is our expression of Mexican culture and cuisine as interpreted through the lens of Chef Roberto Santibañez. Our menu is rooted in the history and culinary tradition of Mexico while exploring the ever-changing boundaries of this vibrant and evolving cuisine.

    The food was really good! We went during lunch and the portions were great. We left feeling full and enjoyed the ambiance. We sat right next to the window which was nice and it was still warm. Great service, would certainly recommend for a quick bite or a sit down.

    We had a great time at Mi Vida in Penn Quarter! Delicious drinks and meal. Service was excellent and it is a fun and lively environment in their beautiful dining room. I was charmed because, as I'd checked 'celebration' on the reservation, they gave us a lovely, handwritten card when we were seated! That was a very much appreciated first at a restaurant. Highly recommend.

    Service was terrible. took way too long to get incredibly watered down drinks. One was literally all ice. We were given one handful of chips for six people and dip without spoons. They completely forgot one appetizer.One person ordered something that after -15 minutes they said they were out of and when he reordered something that came they still charged for the side that was supposed to come with the original order. We were jammed into a booth and it was impossible to even tell the server. Then they served one person 5 minutes before the rest . Another person ordered the short rib that came with a sauce but no spoon and was simply salted overcooked beef. Another person ordered sour cream which they forgot and the brought 10min later. I’ve never been here before but go to wizards games and thought I’d give it a try. Never again and I’ll tell everyone

    Our waitress was very good. However, the bar service was horrible. Got our drinks half way thru eating. The carne asada was cooked correctly but was tough enough to need steak knives which there were none. Gravy was said to be not that spicy was very spicy. Very few non spicy options.

    We went for my partners and I’s anniversary, and the employees went above and beyond in making us feel special on our day. Great food, service, and ambiance!

    Mi Vida is one of my favorite spots to get nachos in the city! I’ve been to a few different locations and don’t generally have anything but positive feedback. This time though, the service really just wasn’t the best – I waited for about 10 min after my food came to get silverware and I only got it because I asked another server. Ours wasn’t very attentive, but was otherwise pleasant!

    Cold and overly salty food, rushed service and was presented bill before asking for dessert menu. Our birthday celebration was ruined!

    This is a very lively and busy place, with a fairly high noise level. The service was very good, however, and the food was good but not outstanding. The staff was very helpful and professional.
