   A 5 star experience. Service was superior, food was ambrosial, Margaritas were mouthwatering. We will be returning back soon. I will recommend this business to my friends, colleagues, and neighbors . Perfect location and Mexican Sugar will validate your parking. Valet parking is available.

   We had an awesome experience with great food and drinks. Our server was Antonio and he was very attentive and provided amazing service paired with great recommendations. I will definitely be back.

   Me and my partner have been to Mexican Sugar but in Dallas. This was our first time at the Houston location. We had reservations and still weren’t sat until 20 minutes later. I had a procedure done on my leg 2 days prior and we were seated upstairs mid section so that was a long walk for me but we didn’t fuss about it. Our waiter was attentive at first, he asked us if we were there for any special occasion and we told him we’re on a date and we have other commitments at 7PM. He was nice, brought us our appetizers and didn’t take our actual order until 20 minutes later. We noticed he stopped by his bigger parties and attended often as we were trying to get his attention to order. Bottom line, we were 30 minutes late to our next date session which just killed the entire mood. The food was not warm enough as it felt as it had been sitting a few minutes, as far as taste, the carne asada was missing flavor. Next time we will try to go during dinner and maybe that will change everything.

   My husband and I came for HH. The drinks were awesome! I had a traditional margarita and a mango margarita both were great. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos on flour. My only complaint is the steak was not hot. It wasn’t warm either. I continue to eat as it was okay with the pico on the taco but I wish it could have been warm at the very least.

   Our server was nice & helpful with recommendations We recommend the hibiscus marg & under frozen Chupa The food was ok! The squash quesadillas were extremely salty, but very flavorful the ceviche had no flavor just tasted like lime The ribeye fajita is good feeds one Side of corn is good (add the lime) Music is really loud ( we don’t mind ) but you definitely have to scream to hear each other across the table

   Food was SUPER salty. Service was horrible. The manager ended up comping the entire meal because the server never came back to check on us. We had to wait about 20 mins to order because the server told us he had to take care of another table.

   First time here and it turned out to be a fantastic experience! Hostess seemed a bit overwhelmed when we first arrived and they got really busy during the wait. Although we had reservations, we had to wait about 20 minutes for an outside table. We started to doubt our decision however, it was all changed with our outstanding waiter, Kelby!!! He turned everything around with his service, food suggestions, and wonderful smile! 10 OUT OF 10!!!!

    Great place to enjoy some delicious Mexican food, for brunch or anytime. Entrees are just the right portions. The atmosphere was fantastic. Our server, Jennifer, was awesome and gave great recommendations. After having an exceptional visit, we will be back! There is a parking garage to park in, but Mexican Sugar can provide a code to cover the first 2 hours. Hint: scan the QR code once inside the restaurant, while at the check in area or at the elevator, enter the code Mexican Sugar will provide at that time. Time starts on the clock then.
