Everything was excellent at Max downtown from the service to the food to the ambience. I had the best filet I’ve ever had.

We typically love Max Downtown. We arrived to find that they were not doing valet parking even though their website says it’s available. We were seated at a table near the door and kind of in the pathway to the door even though the restaurant was empty. All of our filets had a thicker char than normal that overpowered the taste of the meat. One of the filets seemed dry even though it was supposedly medium rare. The service was extremely slow. The waiter was nice and had two big tables so it was tough for him. They did not have a dessert that is on their menu. Overall we were disappointed with our dinner.

My wife and I took two friends out for dinner at Max downtown to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Our server, Abel, was as good as they come. Our dinners were perfectly prepared: two shrimp dishes and two simply prepared salmon dishes. Max Downtown has earned its great reputation over a long period of time, a very difficult thing to do in a restaurant business. Everyone including owners, managers, chefs, servers and greeters are all pleasant. All in all, Max Downtown is always at the top of its game.

Max downtown has been a fantastic restaurant for many years. The food is 100% consistent and the meal last night did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. We had a fantastic waitress who attended to our need to be somewhat in and out for theatre and never forgot a single thing the whole night. We were welcomed warmly when we walked in, which was really nice. 🍽️🍷overall a great experience.

We celebrated a birthday!!! The dinner was divine! Jason was a great server! It was quiet and private and oh so good! Thank you, Max Downtown!!! The birthday was perfect! You were a big part of that! The scallop dish was an interesting fusion of tastes and delicious! The veal chop was exceptional enjoyed by the birthday person!!! The lasagna interesting and wonderful!! The birthday crème brûlée just what the birthday person wanted!!! Thanks again!
