From the moment we arrived we knew this was going to be a great evening. We were greeted immediately and felt welcomed. We arrived early and went to the terrace bar while our table was prepared. The bar tender was awesome and the space was incredible. While we do not smoke we had to check out the cigar bar. Very cool. Our server Eric was awesome. We never felt rushed. The atmosphere and dining experience was great. The decor and history was pretty awesome too. We watched as the team worked together. Very well run restaurant. We can't wait to go back when warmer to check out the view and the terrace dining.

Mary's Vine is one of the most beautiful and unique dining destinations in the Pittsburgh area. The main dining room is beautiful with comfortable chairs and the sparkling Christmas decorations. Our server, Eric paced the service of our drinks and dinner without rushing us. All of our meals were delicious, Scallops & Butternut Squash, Crusted Tuna and Pad Thai. The Arugula & Fennel salad was refreshing. The wine list is extensive and many options by the glass. We visited the new Terrace for after dinner drinks and enjoyed the casual ambience and amazing design. We appreciate the free valet service. Mary's Vine is a must see for all diners!

Excellent food ! Judi Figel was awesome and loved it as usual! Always wonderful service ! Eric did a great job! Outdoor patio is beautiful! Can’t wait to try it out for football!

Warm welcome started with Valet parking. Service was helpful, pleasant and non-intrusive. I ordered the Chicken Lambrusco, and it was perfect comfort for a very cold evening. The live vocal/piano music was not intrusive and made for a nice ambience. Evening ended with efficient retrieval of my car and instruction on how to head home. Unfortunately, they had no record of my OpenTable reservation, so it was a bit embarrassing checking in even though I had the confirmation on my phone. Fortunately, we dined early so there was a suitable table available. Highly recommend this dining and wine experience.

We ordered the small charcuterie board, the scallops & butternut squash risotto, the salmon filet with roasted seasonal vegetables and a piece of cake for dessert, plus a few beverages (2oz pour wine flight, a couple of glasses of wine with dinner, and a desert wine with dessert). The charcuterie board was nothing really special - a few pieces of sliced chorizo, a piece of manchego, some grapes, some olives, some cornichons and pickled red pepper slices, a few pieces of toast, and some whipped goat cheese for the toast; it's the same basic charcuterie board you could get anywhere. My partner loved the scallops, but she always loves scallops if they're prepared well, so she was happy. I chose the salmon as kind of a last resort: most (all?) of the entrees in the online menu I was interested in were not available - not because they ran out, they just didn't offer them - and of what was left, they were things either actively not to my taste - like the scallops - or things that I make really well myself, which defeats the whole point of dining out. In the end I had them make the salmon without the maple sugar crusting - because I don't like maple - and it appears that they didn't season it at all as a result. The seasonal roasted vegetables - brussel sprouts and two kinds of squash - were a little tough, possibly from not being cooked enough. The dessert cake was excellent, but they got it from a French bakery closer to my house than to the restaurant. The service was excellent, but if the food isn't up to it, then great service is going to get overshadowed (we did tip well, because the food isn't the wait staff's problem). All in all, it wasn't bad per se, but it was about twice what I think would be a reasonable price. We've dined at Michelin-starred restaurants that were exemplary in every way in higher COL areas than Pittsburgh for the same price or less. I appreciate what they're trying to do, but for those prices, that's not the right area.
