    The service was excellent, the steak was very tender. The appetizer was very salty and peppery - it was the hot crab dip. I would not order it again which is a shame because I think it would have been fine if it wasn't overseasoned. Same for the steak, very tender didn't even need a knife to cut it really but it was so salty that I took most of it home so I could rinse it off to be palatable.

    Restaurants trying to cram too many tables in a small space to maximize $$. Noisy - on top of wait station so there was no privacy and no way to hold a conversation - waitress was sweet but completely informed about the menu - disappointing to say the least

    Malone's is always a good choice. The food is tasty, amount of food plentiful & nice atmosphere. Parking can be a challenge at the Palomar location but it's a big parking lot & you will find a place. We celebrated a birthday & were treated to a dessert. The wait for our order seemed a little long. Unfortunately, just as they were bringing the tray out, there was a mishap & the tray went crashing to the floor! Apologies were made & a rush put on the order. Eventually we received our order & everything was great. We all had take home boxes.

    I love dining at Malones in Lexington. We usually go to the Tate's Creek location, but we were closer to Palomar, so we made a reservation there. As in the past, the food was excellent, and our server was great (Diane). The only issue that detracted from our experience was the mechanical and impersonal greeting and escort by the young ladies at the hostess station. They were very attractive and were dressed professionally, but I think they could all use a reminder to smile and interact more cheerfully with guests.
